📢 Price Increase Coming April 2026 – Lock In Your Plan with Granger Now
For anyone considering extended coverage, here’s an important heads up:
A Ford Protect price increase is scheduled for April 2026. Once the increase takes effect, new contracts will reflect higher pricing. If you’ve been thinking about adding coverage, now is the time to secure current rates.
ℹ What This Means
  • Ford Protect plan pricing will adjust in April 2026.
  • Contracts purchased before the increase lock in current pricing.
  • Existing contracts are not affected once issued.
⏳If you’re inside factory warranty (3yr/36k Ford or 4yr/50k Lincoln) or approaching expiration (41 months from the original in-service date and/or 40,999 miles), this is the ideal window to act.⌛
If you’re considering:
  • Premium Care
  • Deductible options
  • Coverage length and mileage
  • Eligibility timing
Want to lock in ASAP- purchase through our website and within 3-5 business days we will send you an electronic copy of your plan.

2022 F-150 Lightning
I have a 2022 Lightning that I bought in December 2023. It was never titled before I bought it, but I found out after I bought it that because the dealership used it as a demo (~800 miles when I took delivery), that the warranty began in 2022 (I thought it began when titled, and that is what the dealer told me). The dealership made it right and bought an extended warranty for me, and it's still covered until this summer (mileage is 15,300). I went to your website, but there is not an option to add a warranty to a 2022. Just curious if my truck is eligible for a plan and what the cost might be.

if the premium care extended covered items like headlights, tail lights, interior center dash screen as well as any of the 360 cameras, side mirrors that contain turn signal lighting and camera, i would jump on this in a heartbeat. but i will pass

Drew that doesn't sound right at all. If the vehicle has never been titled and was sold to you in your paperwork as a new car, despite being a 800 mile dealer demo, your Ford in-service date should be the date of sale. I get that the dealer tried to "make it right" by buying you an extended warranty it's important to note none of Ford extended warranties cover the EV battery pack and the clock on that starts ticking for the 8 year 100,000 miles on the in-service date. If you hit 100K before 2030 then maybe it won't matter but you are entitled for that warranty to go through December 2031 if it was in fact sold as an untitled new car when you bought it. Also the 3year 36k mile warranty is more comprehensive than any extended warranty so there are a few things that the extended warranty won't cover that would have been covered in the initial bumper to bumper warranty. That initial warranty should have protected you until December 2026.

I knew it didn't cover the headlights or taillights, but where does it state that the interior center dash screen (Sync 4/4A?) and 360 cameras aren't covered?

All of that is covered. Here's the brochure for the premium plan.

I see this was asked but not answered. The website doesnt offer an option for the 2022 Lightning owners. I assume they cannot be covered?
No idea, I used floodfordesp.com. I do know if you're under 3/36 you can get coverage. After the initial 3/36 you'd have to call them.

I just spoke to a rep about this yesterday. It is very close to being an extension of the 3yr/36k bumper to bumper warranty.
Precisely. Best you can get anywhere.

FYI, I have a 2023 I bought new in February ‘24, and it has about 14,500 miles. I was quoted $3,670 for 8 yr./75k miles, and $4,840 for 10 yr./100k miles. It would start when my 3/36 ends. $100 deductible. Asked about higher deductible and $200 was the only other option. She said the savings were minimal. It is transferable if you did happen to sell your truck during the time it is in effect.

The Ford ESP starts at the time the vehicle is purchased (new) and whatever mileage it had on it at the time. You don't get an extra 3/36.

Oh, wow. I didn't think about the original in-service date affecting the 100k/8 Year battery warranty. I'm probably the only person on earth that will hit 8 years before I hit 100k miles, too. The warranty issue didn't come up until several months after I bought it and saw that my free trials (enhanced nav, Blue Cruise, etc.) expired before they should. I reached out to the dealership and they said because it was a demo (part of their "mannequin" program), these services began before I bought it, but that when the time came they would extend them for me. Then the question of the warranty came up, and they said they would d buy me an extended warranty to cover the lost time (and they did). It was sold as new (sales paperwork and original web listing for the truck both said new). I always believed the first time a vehicle was titled was when warranties kick in, but I guess, at least in the case of the mannequin program, that this was not the case. Not sure how to handle it from here. I do remain interested in a Granger warranty, though I haven't hear back on my above post requesting information. Sounds like the extended warranties might not cover all that I was hoping, however, so I may not be keeping the truck as long as I'd originally planned....
