2023 ER Lariat - 32,000 miles.
I can set it to anything above 85%. Charging stops at 83% and shows 100% charged in the ap.

Local does dealer won’t authorize rental until it is diagnosed which may not even be the same week it is dropped off. @Ford Motor Company please help.

Despite showing 100%, does it almost immediately drop back to 83% when you turn it on?

If so this is what mine did when a module failed. See my saga here. I apparently drove it for a couple months with a bad module but since I only charge to 85% I didn’t notice until I tried to charge to 90%+.

Besides my post see similar issue here that was also a bad module.

Make sure the dealer knows about this SSM. I left a copy in the truck for the tech and gave another copy to the Service Advisor. This error does not throw a relevant code.

You, bad module. From my experience, they will be able to get the module pretty quickly but then the actual repair will take a while if there are no techs available. Your best bet is to get the EV line involved to speed up the process. Good Luck.

Mine is giving funky stuff too. Yesterday only charged to 55%, then gave charge fault warning (vehicle and app). This morning it had charged to 90% (normal), and only had charge fault on app, not vehicle.

This. Exactly this. Tried charging to multiple levels. Ap always shows 100% state of charge then I start driving and it goes to 83%. I have an appointment scheduled, hoping Brian can come through with some type of loaner and quick turnaround help. Will update here.

Well that certainly sucks, but the good thing is it’s relatively known for 22-23 models. From the time lurking on this forum it seems a good amount of people will just have to replace the one module and then be good for a long time. I have seen a few have more than one module, but I don’t think it’s that common.

That is really bad service from that dealer - no others nearby?

Ditto the bad module symptoms/likelihood.

Under 100K miles and 8 years you're covered with repair/replacement.

Contact Ford directly about a loaner and complain about that dealership, fwiw.

I’m hoping that ford reaches out via the forum. This a first ford, first truck, first EV for me. I am still hopeful that I can add a ton of miles to it post repair. Bummed I can’t be that “I’ve had zero issues in the last 100k” guy.

I hear ya.

I'd recommend you call the BEV team at Ford right away!

The numbers I have for the BEV Hotline: 1-866-631-3788, or 800-392-3673, 571-831-5352
Never called them myself, not sure those are still the right numbers.

I had the same problem but found that if I name the charger ('Home' for example), and start a charge I can then use the slider to put the demand charge wherever I want it - On the Ford App.

Yes. This is a different issue. I can toggle the switch to any percentage past 80% - truck will not charge past 83%. After spinning for a bit, it’ll say 100% charged.
