It’s great about the locking mechanism. However, if someone randomly presses the unlock button on the charge port, it stops charging. What’s the difference? They can’t take the plug and charge their own car, but my car is now not charging. 🤦‍♂️ @Ford Motor Company might want to get that fixed 🤦🤣
I suppose one benefit is that if you're using a Tesla adapter, it can't be disconnected and stolen. I don't know that this is a big problem, really, but it does make me feel a little better about leaving the car unattended while I DC fast charge at a Tesla Supercharger.

I have not tested Tesla adapter. Only that you can’t remove plug from truck from an EA station but I would hope it was the same but knowing ford it’s not 🤣

the update does not work as intended because someone can randomly stop charging your car
This may be by design for safety. In the case of an obvious problem, most non-Tesla chargers already have a big red stop button on the DCFC anyway. On Tesla, the only emergency stop option might be the button on the charge port unless pressing the charge gun release stops charging without unlocking. Has anyone tested?
