Why will not Ford take my money?

I find BC helpful for even short drives to work on the highway stretches but that being said, BC doesn’t appear to be super useful in Norway as the current map shows around 100 km of mapped roads around Oslo and then routes from Oslo south towards Gothenburg and Denmark. Unless you’re on one of those routes you won’t be able to enable BC.

I know, and luckily I drive that road to our cabin in Sweden.

PTS don´t show any MU5T-14H394-* or the like in the Sync list of installed software. I believe this is BC Maps.

Can I add it somehow?

Booted the car up today and took it for a drive on a known good BC HW. Still hands-on. Deleted and added the car to the app yesterday.

Confirmed today that older software not had the BC Maps versions showing, just the date they expire. My missing info I believe comes down to Ford Germany deleting my BC maps when modifying my car.

How can I add them back now?

Great news, Today I got the BlueCruise subscription in my app and in the car. But still no BC maps version available. I hope it is downloading it now.

Free trial, so I can test it before I buy it.

Sorry, I lost track of this thread. Yes, it will take a few days before the changes you make trigger the activation signal for BC to actually work. Happy to hear it's working as intended now.

Edit: Not sure why BC maps are not showing, but the important thing is that it is working.

I will test it tomorrow, on an enabled road. My guess is that Ford Germany deleted the maps during the conversion.

Not sure, but AFAIK, there is no way to side-load anything onto the APIM with FORScan like you can with other modules. I try not to comment much on things I don't fully understand, but that is the understanding I have from talking to people that know A LOT more about this stuff than I do. Unless you have the knowledge and resources to pull the APIM out, put it on a bench and ram it in there, but that goes well beyond my scope of knowledge.

Tested on a known BC highway today, and no hands-free. Map version still showing as - -.

Tried parking it on with wifi for a good amount of time. But very little traffic on the network.

Today the network capture showed a large download from mmota-cdn.autonomic.ai to the truck: about 457 MB in roughly 83 seconds.

No changes visible so far. OTAs are scheduled to 2 am, so hopefully some changes tomorrow.

I was fiddling with the gateway yesterday. And after changing 716-01-01 xxx8 to xxx2, or 716-02-01 3xxx to Bxxx the truck immediately looked up autonomic.ai each boot.

Stock config never does that. So the large download was possibly triggered by this change.

I wish someone could release a gateway map for the non-subscription part.

Still no BC maps. Do have this DTC (not on dash) after each trip:

Status (-2C):
- DTC Maturing - Intermittent at Time of Request
- Malfunction Indicator Lamp is Off for this DTC

Found a TSB for this code, but the fix doesn't fix it.
