The door keypad is a really easy option to add yourself. When I bought it, I think it was like $30. You can also go the wireless route and do the one that people install on Broncos, putting it in the charge port door, if desired.
To add the oem keypad to the 25 Flash or lesser trim, you have to buy a new b pillar trim piece with cutout for it. I have that and the keypad to add to my truck, (already verified the wiring is in the door). Cost is just under $200 for both pieces.

I'm waiting for the temperature outside to get out of the steam cooker range to install it.

That's true. I had forgotten about that trim piece. For mine, I just used this template and cut out a slot in my existing trim panel. Save's a bit of money at the expense of time and labor.

Dang, If I had known about that, could have saved a significant amount of coin. That is if I hadn't already scratched the hell out of the trim panel on my carport overhang.

If anyone needs it here's the info on the trim piece. IIRC I ordered for a Lariat due to the Flash having the piano black finish.

If I can just buy the stick on one that they use on the Ford Ranger and Bronco then that seems like a much easier way to go.

You absolutely can go that route, I did so on my wife's Escape, you program it like an extra key fob which is all it is and when the battery inside dies, you toss it and buy a whole new keypad. I prefer the OEM function and look, the other type is double back tape to the surface.
