Yeah, I'm not a fan of Ford giving out the FCSP as part of their Power Promise. They make a 48A charger that would have matched better.

The bad thing is folks like you paid a lot more for a 100A circuit instead of the 60A you could use. Of course your next EV could take advantage of it.
The circuit, yes. The FCSP , No.
It’s CCS plug is a disadvantage on many other EV‘s for AC charging.

One advantage would be that the truck could power the house directly with its DC Volts/Amps via the CCS cable?
Not without thousands of dollars of extra equpiment, inverters, wiring and installation.

I wish. I already had 30A tied to the house and would run a generator through that when needed. I can run the Lightning through that circuit. I can run the entire house minus the A/C. Actually, I can run the A/C through that too but I'm not pushing it.

My 100A service is a separate line with a separate meter that was supposed to provide cheaper rates. I won't get the cheaper rate but I did get a $500 credit from Consumers for that line.

On the plus side, I was able to charge up from 7% to 90% using the 48A FCSP relatively quickly. My 30A circuit was good for only 24A so my charge time is cut in half using the FCSP setup.

All good. When I spec out an EV next year, I'll look for the dual charger. I just can't believe I missed that detail.

Was just looking thru the owner's manual, yeah I know I'm a unicorn lol, anway the sticker for my 25 Flash states it has a 123kWh battery but the owners manual says 142.1kWh, so which one is it?

The Owners Manual is likely not updated. Decode your VIN (see post 1). If the 8th character is "U", it's a 123 kWh.

batt142.webp
142.1kWh probably refers to actual battery size. 123kWh is your usable battery. Ford adds a buffer.

Online manual is the most updated they have. That's where I got that info on it. owner.ford.com

Just because it's the online version doesn't mean it's updated for the 2025 Job 2 trucks. That chart looks to a holdover from 2022.

Unfortunately, it still doesn't answer my question.

Ignore the Owners Manual. What is the 8th character of your VIN?
If it's 7, the usable capacity is 131 kWh (nameplate capacity 143.4 kWh).
If it's U, the usable capacity is 123 kWh (nameplate capacity around 134.4 kWh).

It's a U. I suppose this is one of Ford's notorious misprints. The workshop manuals aren't much better.

My window sticker is dated 5-21-25. I have the 123 kWh battery.

What ticks me off is that the Job 2 features Ford deleted from being standard on the Flash trim is stuff I would have used a lot, i.e. charging pad for phone, tailgate step, door entry keypad, etc. Frustrated...

I hear you but...

From what I've read, the charging pad performance isn't great. Personally, with AA or CarPlay, I've just plugged my phone in and forgotten about it when in the truck. If you really want inductive charging, you'd probably be happier with an aftermarket solution anyway.

The door keypad is a really easy option to add yourself. When I bought it, I think it was like $30. You can also go the wireless route and do the one that people install on Broncos, putting it in the charge port door, if desired.

The tailgate step is the only option you can't add easily. Losing that would be a bummer.
