Finally got around to installing these this weekend. I couldn't find anyone who had mounted a set, so it was a roll of the dice. These are for the ice trucks. In my research there are no flares available in the us market for the lightning. These are the sport flares by Rough Country, available paint matched for most F150 colors or in flat black for half the price. As for the fit, in the front, they are slightly too short. It would look better if they came all the way to the front bumper. In the rear, there's a one inch gap between the bottom of the flare and the bottom of the bed. I might try to come up with something to fill it. Also some of the mounting holes don't line up exactly. The charge door clears with no issues. All in all I'm happy with the look. My wheels have a good amount of poke,+18 offset, and the tires are 34's.

Edit: @MUSTANGMICHAEL mentioned these will potentially leave marks in the paint where the rubber seal meets the fender. Dirt can get in there and scratch thru the clear coat. Recommended adding ppf to the area before install.

Those look great! I'll be following to see how you fill the gap on the fronts. Nice color on your truck too btw!

This is a nice touch. I almost attempted this as well but w/ the flat black for more of an "E-Raptor" look. How much modification/drilling did you need to do for the rear set since the holes didn't line up? How long did it take you?

Took around 2 hrs for the install. I had to drill 2 holes on each side for the rears, inner lip of the fender.

I also have a set of those that I haven't gotten around to install. They do require some massaging/work in the rear, as I have power running boards. Do you think these would be possible to run with the mud flaps?

Possibly, you have to remove the black plastic trim piece on the lower front side of the rear wheel well. On the rear part of the wheel well I used the lower inner most hole, removed the push tab, pushed the flare in and up and pushed the tab back in. You don't remove the plastic trim piece in the rear. Can you post a picture of the mud flap from the inside of the wheel well?

You Tremor’d it, very tasteful all around šŸ‘šŸ¼

I’ve wanted more of the Raptor look, I might try this on mine. I don’t think the front gap would bother too much.

Awesome, looks great! Thank you for posting this. I have a flat black set just sitting in my garage waiting to be put on.

Looks good and I’ve had the same ones on a 5.0 F150. It’s worth mentioning that they will destroy your paint! Where the rubber strip is on the plastic flare, dirt and grime gets caught under and the vibrations from the road will cause the flares to move ever so slightly. Then the dirt and grime etched through the clear coat, then the paint. It’s a common. Issue with them. I’m only mentioning it because I was not aware of it and I was rather frustrated when I went to trade it in and the dealer mentioned this issue and asked me to remove them to check the paint.

Good to know! I'll remove them and put some ppf where they touch and re install.

Just did some googling and most fender flares have this issue, even ones that come stock. Just saw a video, a guy removed factory flares from a tundra and they had nearly eaten thru the metal!

Oh wow, that’s crazy! Wonder if PPF would even work then?!

Yea. I’ve seen so much damage caused by them after I had it happen.
