Hey all

Have a '24 Flash trim, and I have had this happen twice now where the truck has been chiming at me about the seat belts even though all the occupied seats have them done up. The old fashioned seatbelt warning image from every vehicle I've ever owned shows on the dash, as well as the overhead view graphic of the seats where it shows them as either red and X or green and ✅....but it will show all the occupied seats as green and ✅ , but still chiming at me.

Anyone else here ever encounter this??

First time it happened was about 2 weeks ago....on a trip I was driving a couple friends (who happen to be very EV skeptical lets say) from our hotel to dinner, and it did that to me. At first, they legitimately didn't have their seat belts on, but even after they did and the red "X" turned to green checks for their seats, the chimes kept happening. It stopped after a minute or so, but for a 5 minute drive, having the annoying chime and bongs at you when they all had their seat belts on was a tad embarrassing.

Then today after dropping off my daughter at school, it did it again to me. It showed the drivers seat as green, but was still bonging at me. What gives?

For the record, I didn't have any weight on any of the other seats that would be triggering the sensors, and even the kids' booster seats are never enough to make the thing trip up when they aren't sitting in them.

Any way to troubleshoot this? Really don't want to listen to any more bongs and chimes than I need to here.

I have this exact problem with my 24 Flash. Seatbelt warning and beeps even though all occupied seats are buckled up. The graphics show all green checks as well. This happens once in a while so I just ignore it, but it would be nice to know a fix. Have you found one @user-name-required ? I suppose one can disable this warning in FORScan.

No, I haven't found a fix yet... And it seems to be happening to me a little bit more frequently now. In about the last 2 or 3 months it seems to happen roughly once every two weeks now, pretty annoying.

It stops bonging and is fine after maybe 30 seconds or so but still pretty annoying

My solution, use Forscan to code out all seats. No more seat chimes ever. The symbol on the dash doesn't light up anymore. Not a solution for everyone but two thumbs up for me.

I am willing to post a quick how to if anyone wants it.

I would like to dabble in this one dude, please share. This didn't exist/wasn't a big deal for my '23 until I uploaded/installed the '24 IPC firmware to get charging info.

I may not leave it permanently but would like to load it and test experience....it is quite aggressive in the current state.

@user-name-required I don't know if you realize this but in the IC view settings you can turn off that whole seatbelt warning message graphic indicator.

Yes, you might still get some dings dongs, bings and bongs, but try and turn that feature off first and then see if you are still getting the constant issue.

If this fixes the issue then perhaps it is some sort of software bug from a recent update....

You can also turn off the back seat warning feature in the vehicle settings. I turned that off because I tend to store things in the back that I bring to work and that I need to take out once at work. The back seat reminder gets really annoying, which is all based on simply opening the back door before turning on the truck.
