Good grief!
The chance of this happening is extremely rare. Even then, it would have to be an update to one of the Sync related modules where the data gets screwed up and creates a bottleneck for future updates. In the case of a failed BCM update, there would not be any "block" on the server side for future updates. If the original OTA failed due to the state of the 12v battery (which is what causes 99% of OTAs to fail), then it is just a matter of it being resent. Those of us that have been around the forums for a while know this can take weeks or even months to happen.I'm not aware that Ford specifically blocks vehicles from OTA updates, even after a large number of failures. However, I am aware of vehicles that stop attempting a particular update after too many failures, or that get "stuck" for whatever reason after an update fails and do not attempt future updates.
Just got the same run-around with my local dealer - had mobile service for '24 mach-e and both lightnings. Guy called back this morning and said no-go as of yet. Still shows in Fordpass appMy app says the software for the recall is available so I called the Ford dealer when I got the notice.
Long story short after mobile service appointment was made, the dealer called and said the software available is for the Maverick Hybrid not the lightning and they would call and reschedule my mobile service once software was available for the Lightning.
