Looking for an EV_savy dealer recommendation with reasonable shop rates. I have a cracked rear tailight that needs replacing - willing to drive some distance -- even in to Northern KY or eastern IL.

I'd STRONGLY recommend you do this yourself. The light can be obtained from Ford dealerships nationwide, including many that are online and cheaper, as well as from reproduction sources much cheaper. The sensor can be removed and moved to the new lens.

I'm inclined to agree with you. I did remove the lense and drained the water. I also took out the 3 small torx screws holding the sensor in. The compartment was bone dry. So, why am I getting BLIS and cross-traffic codes? It would seem to me that the sensor stuff should be working (or start working after I drained the few ounces of water inside.).

I snapped pictures of the part numbers on the inside of the cover -- so ordering a new part and new gasket should be straightforward.

This happened to me, and because they wanted almost 3 thousand dollars for a taillight, I opted to make a claim with my insurance and just pay the deductible. I have no idea how or when the crack happened, but I was getting the same alerts due to the sensors being bad. I took mine to the Ford dealer. The sensors had to be replaced and reprogrammed.

that's probably what I'm going to do. I still have 12K miles lef ton warranty, but since it was my fault, that won't help. But, if the dealer does it and it happens again, then, it would be covered by Ford.

Sorry I’m not in northern KY, but I have 100% confidence in my long term dealer Don Franklin Ford, Columbia, KY. There Master Mechanic is EV certified and they are a family owned franchise that deals respectively with their customers.

I'd be willing to drive some distance - if you mentioned Louisville, or Owensboro, I'd be willing to take the time to make the drive. I reached out to a local in a different town over the phone -- and his attitude was very good. I'll report in tomorrow after my appointment.
