In the next update the Speed and Efficiency items in the Trip details become buttons and clicking will open a map view that displays the trip path colored with the trip speed or with the regen segments of the trip.

Someone in the Mach-E forum had a suggestion so the speed map is even nicer:

No update for the effieicny map until I create a GPS odometer that can fill in the gaps in the vehicle odometers.

Excited to give this a shot. Hadn’t been using my OBD dongle lately because my truck kept going into Battery Saver Mode. I changed the dongle settings to start up at Bluetooth connection instead of voltage detection, so hopefully I won’t have that issue going forward.

Yes, I just downloaded the OBDLink app, connected to the dongle, then changed the settings. Very quick process.

Two questions:
- possible to add/see data via Widgets in CarPlay?
- possible to add a setting where can choose to end trips when the truck powers off vs. when put in Park? A lot of times I’m running errands and keep the truck running the whole time. Would be neat to see the “full” trip, i.e. from the time I leave home and return home. Just an idea!

Before there was the CarPlay entitlement the app had a widget but they proved to be problematic since Apple limits the number of updates you can do so they were removed.

That would be the Ford definition of a trip but I like to know where I went and not see Home-Home as the origin and destination. I take to the extreme and if I go the car wash I make sure to slip it into Park for a second log the visit. Then you could query the car wash location and get a list of the trips.

More likely I would add the ability to merge one or more trips to get a composite entry that works for your case or for an epic cross country road trip that would link the driving legs and not the local trips made during the local stops and displayed the stats for the entire trip.

So many great ideas but not so much time. Plus I should focus on this getting in the App Store so everyone isn't out of luck if I go 90 days without pushing a new build to TestFlight.
