Well, it's definitely not the HVB. Just charged mine overnight to my standard 80% SOC. Checked my account at ford.com and saw this. Vehicle mileage is dead on... so this is up to date....have never charged my truck to more than 85%.
I will never be 100% EV. Have the Lightning and a VW ID.4, but also 4 gas powered bikes, 3 diesel powered vehicles (BMW X5, Kioti Tractor, Kubota ATV), plus mowers and saws. Looks like I'll be stoping at fossil fuel stations for the rest of my life.
I wouldn't say it didn't factor in the regen. You averaged 12.4 miles per kWh, on your 15.9 mile ride. That's about 5 times better than you'll get on flat road driving.
It is possible, but as stated above, you'll have to drive slow. I charged my Pro last night after 8 days of use. Charged to my standard 80% from the 24% remaining.....had covered 171.7 miles with that 56%. My garage electric meter reading increased by 57.2 kWh to get back to 80%.
171.7 miles...
I keep detailed charging records for my Lightning as well as my wife's ID.4.
Since it's first charge by me, (April 23rd, trip #1 reset to zero)
Miles - 1,913.6
Metered kWh - 728.7 (actual kWh taken from electric meter before & after each charge)
Aver $/kWh - $.1280 (variable...
Sounds like my truck. A 23 Pro, at 22 pricing....only options were red paint, spray in bed liner, and the over priced portable charger. Have added a trifold tonneau, running boards, splash guards, rubber bed mat, window visors, and a grill screen. Don't think I want or need anything...
If you are getting 2.2 miles/kWh with your Tesla, I doubt if you'll do better than 1.5 with a Lightning. Using that number, 110 miles will burn 73 kw, or 75% of your SR battery. Starting at 90% will put you at 15% by the time you're home.
I have found that with my SR Pro battery, each percent...
I snapped two photos.....Trip #1, is since my first at home charge, two days after delivery. Trip #2, is since my last charge, and is actually 5 round trips to my morning coffee stop. Trip #2 is reset after each charge session.....I only do level 2, at home charging..
As stated above, make sure the detachable cable is plugged in fully......then install the included mounting bracket to the wall, and insert your charger.
Agreed. To be honest, the FordPass App reported 63.5 kW added to batteries. I'll pay for the 69 sucked from the power line, which amounts to $8.50 ($.1232 per kWh), or a bit under $.045 per mile.
It's simply amazing how economically these trucks operate. It cost at least twice as much to run...
Snapped this photo just prior to plugging into my mobile charger. This trip started at 85% charge level, as all of my charges do. This means that 67% of my Pro's battery capacity, was used to cover 195.3 miles.
Actually my electric meter registered 69 kWh to return batteries to 85% state of...
Yes....but not the only one. The lack of AM radio is the one thing that bugs me about my Lightning. Haven't had the radio on in a month and a half of ownership. Won't until the update arrives.
Don't quite understand all the AM hate expressed here....but then, there is a lot going on these days...
I'm also in WNY....the $7,000 private savings offer, was treated as a rebate in my case also. The $5,000 October and the $4,000 December price increases were taken off the window sticker price prior to taxes being figured. The $7,000 on the other hand was figured into the taxable amount....then...
You are correct. $9,100 is the price protection amount on August ordered Pro's. Ordered mine on 8/11, just picked it up 4 days ago. That amount was subtracted from the window sticker, then tax, title, license etc was added, then the $7,000 private savings offer was subtracted. I'm one of the...
So I'm one of the very, very lucky ones. Took delivery of my PRO on 4/21 and still qualify for the full $7500 tax credit.
Being retired, the only way I'll benefit from this is to convert Traditional IRA holdings, to my Roth IRA.
Trip to the dealer went fine. Got final numbers nailed down, came home and initiated a wire transfer from my bank to dealer's account, verified sent status email received. No shenanigans by the dealer, honored the August price (PL320), and the $7,000 private savings offer for extended...
