I just noticed the update in FordPass too. I assume itās this update although the FordPass has the āunable to retrieve update detailsā as to the actual update name.
I left my office around 7:00pm EST.
My last update was 6.8, too. ā22 Lariat SR.
Happy to provide my VIN, if it helps.
When mine was completed months ago, my dealer was able to expedite the delivery. I believe it took them one week to get the part, maybe even less. I canāt remember the exact timing because I was also waiting for the CSP taillight bar replacement to come in, too.
My 22 Lariat SR and 23 Lariat SR both do not have PAAK and also has the Frunk button failure when itās locked. I always assumed it was because you can click the drunk button from the exterior of the truck they donāt want it opening when locked.
I had a similar issue that I thought was software related for the longest time because I could get it to charge by deleting the profile locations, etc.
Eventually that started to fail too and I couldnāt get a charge on level 2 even after resetting a location, etc.
It turned out to be a...
according to the dealership, it was located under the frunk liner. It was the dealershipās first attempt and they got it replaced much faster than they anticipated. Iāve been able to charge perfectly since the replacement!
My dealer is replacing both sensors in our 2022 and 2023 lightnings but did require an āinspectionā first to confirm the part number installed needed replacing.
I have to give my dealership some credit here. They sent a mobile tech out to take a photo of the sensor and is ordering the...
I have absolutely no evidence to support this, but for whatever reason, I get the impression that Farleyās kids have influenced the desire to make Ford chase Teslaās technology.
I thought I remember somewhere Farley mentioning he has teenage kids when he was discussing the charging...
Iād guess about 5,500 depending on gear and amount of fuel. Iām also in Florida, so hotter climate and flat land may definitely be a factor in my favor, too.
There are a few times you can pull up to a charger without dropping the trailer but itās far and few between. I think more and more...
Youāll be just fine towing around town.
I get about 50% highway towing a 23 center console which is like pulling a parachute. Iāve only ever towed distances or less than 20 miles and I didnāt keep track of the short towing distance.
Youāll love the truck for towing. The lightning tows...
Enjoy the scenery!
Iām going backwards. Weāve got a nasty storm headed here this weekend. And, my truck is in for service while I tool around in a gas F-150 loaner. Feels weird driving a slow truck again! I keep questioning my pedal strength. Time for some more calf raises.
Follow up to my follow up. My charging issue came back and this time, nothing I could do would fix it. Removing the location and settings in the app would cause the charger to restart, but it would immediately fault again. I was able to DCFC, though.
Finally took it into the dealership for the...
You forgot the special rain dance! No wonder it didnāt work!
mine installed this update and 0724 both this morning back to back. First time thatās happened:
I just wanted to do a follow up to this post.
I am cautiously optimistic. This morning, my 22' Lightning installed the 22-PU0722-DC-CHG3 update dealing with the charging module.
Since then, I have plugged my truck into the Level 2 charger and both times, it has started charging and has not...
This is a very interesting thread because I have recently been experiencing a charge fault with the lightning. I have a very similar issue as you, but the issue is that it happens with only one charger.
My office has two lightnings. We have had the same office charger (A reliable Clipper Creek...
Mine refuses to update. Iāve had this issue in the past and manually charging the 12V helped. I might give it a shot when I have time to see if thatās the holdup again.
