Interesting, are you using wireless or a wired connection? I had no problems outside of AA when I switched to Bluetooth.

That's a fair enough chunk to find some savings if you were able. The trick would be to get the software to accurately predict when it had to start.

No its not the most efficient, I would agree. But that's not the point. The battery preconditions at the departure time as per the manual. Also, when it's cold enough the truck asks to be plugged in, it's to keep the battery more cozy. The longer I can keep the battery happy the better...

If you set a departure time for 630am mon-Fri then your truck will charge to the desired soc and precondition the battery. Just having the truck plugged in keeps the battery warmish, departure time it's fully ready to go. Tldr: departure times

They had problems on the initial batch, they have made several improvements over the years, there are multiple part numbers now. I have a newer unit and it works flawlessly, like most other newer users.

Not a good idea. It's designed that way to keep everything more dry and functioning properly. I didn't realize the mirrors had an auto mode, I haven't seen it working that way, what are the triggers for that?

They are what we thought they were. Same batteries in a different package.

Having driven in snow my whole life I can tell you that my gas vehicles also suffered reduced range while driving in snow. Everything has to work harder to get through it. Good news is that one day there will be more chargers.

Sounds like your station is not installed correctly and/or has loose connections. I would recheck all connections at the panel, fcsp and anywhere in between for proper assembly and torque. If that doesn't solve it then it may need warranty replacement.

Can you not override? This is all done through the Ford nav, not AA or carplay.
