hi everybody!
Please have a look at one of the newest csp's regarding the 12v battery system. They have found that there are problems with certain part numbers.

I signed up for the streaming services and then called support again. After about 20 minutes the agent was able to tell me that there may be a module missing and that it wasn't possible to use video streaming in my truck(it still may just be software but no way to confirm). It only cost me $15...
You have spurred me into getting to the bottom of this.
Text chat with Ford support says originally that video streaming to the vehicle wasn't allowed by Canadian regs but it should be allowed now and that software updates should have enabled it.
Called Ford support and they seem to think it...
After the last update my Spotify will drop the audio ramdomly, I have to unplug, plug back in to get it back. It will do it sometimes twice a day, sometimes every track. As i mentioned before, having a locked map as half the screen is horrible. Waste of a beautiful screen. I also tried...
No its not the most efficient, I would agree.
But that's not the point. The battery preconditions at the departure time as per the manual.
Also, when it's cold enough the truck asks to be plugged in, it's to keep the battery more cozy. The longer I can keep the battery happy the better...
P. 196 of the owners manual I have:
You can improve driving range and
performance by scheduling departure
times and cabin comfort level with the
Departure and Comfort feature. This not
only warms or cools the cabin but also
conditions the battery to ensure the best
driving range and performance...
I'm fairly certain that the Canadian vehicles don't have that capability. It looks like it's bundled with other USA related apps that we don't have. Probably due to cancon or some other benign reason.
I was slightly annoyed when I couldn't find it but I'm not sitting in my truck that often...
If you set a departure time for 630am mon-Fri then your truck will charge to the desired soc and precondition the battery.
Just having the truck plugged in keeps the battery warmish, departure time it's fully ready to go.
Tldr: departure times
They had problems on the initial batch, they have made several improvements over the years, there are multiple part numbers now. I have a newer unit and it works flawlessly, like most other newer users.
Not a good idea. It's designed that way to keep everything more dry and functioning properly.
I didn't realize the mirrors had an auto mode, I haven't seen it working that way, what are the triggers for that?
I love the idea of new features but since the current android auto features don't work reliably I'd prefer if they fixed it first.
I would also prefer to not have to look at the map screen or blank "enable gps" screen for the 98% of driving I do that doesn't need a map.
I use AA almost...
Having driven in snow my whole life I can tell you that my gas vehicles also suffered reduced range while driving in snow. Everything has to work harder to get through it.
Good news is that one day there will be more chargers.
From the owners manual:
Battery Systems
We recommend the following actions for
your vehicle:
• When storing your vehicle for greater
than 30 days the state of charge
should be approximately 50%.
Additionally, we recommend
disconnecting the 12v battery which
will reduce system loads on the HV...
Sounds like your station is not installed correctly and/or has loose connections.
I would recheck all connections at the panel, fcsp and anywhere in between for proper assembly and torque.
If that doesn't solve it then it may need warranty replacement.
