I'd be curious to see a reading from a good tint reader. The el cheapo amazon one I had showed the uv and ir (heat) were pretty close to the tint I had installed on the fronts.
Ford's charge rate really isn't that high. It maxes out at only 1.2C and averages a bit under 1C which is rather conservative. 1C (meaning it takes 1 hour to go from 0-100% at that speed) is safe. The Taycan for example maxes at almost 3C which means it could charge 3 times at that rate.
Power running boards are the most underrated thing ever. Definitely a lot more usable imo due to how far they drop. I specifically looked for one with them when I bought mine since it was only like $255 more than getting the stock fixed boards.
Do you have a black box around the camera image? The camera is smaller with the update but should not have the black box if the tech followed directions. If your image looks like the below, send them the bulletin from the op and tell them to learn to read.
The OTA's install a lot faster than using FDRS to update. If I'm not mistaken, it can also activate the HVB to keep the 12v charged so there shouldn't be any updates that specifically require FDRS. Granted there are probably module updates that Ford doesn't roll out OTA though but not due to...
Only thing I notice with the Air 80 is it can make the color of leaves a bluish color from a certain angle when I have polarized glasses.
Migraines were my excuse lol. Had them for going on 25 years now. Medicine I take for it makes my eyes sensitive to light so I'm usually wearing sunglasses...
Llumar Ceramic on the front sides and believe Air 80 on the windshield. Window tint exemption to keep the inspector and popo off my back.
El cheapo Amazon tint reader. Didn't measure the fronts un-tinted so 1st reading is tinted and 2nd is the oem back tint.
Not missing much. Only upside atm is having the charging speed on the center screen without having to jump through hoops to get it on the IPC like 24+.
Every APIM update I've done was over USB with the truck running so wouldn't think it'd be a 12v issue. Still a good idea to have a good power source but shouldn't have broken anything with that one.
Also if you're going to be using Tesla Superchargers, supercharge.info is a good site. There's a thread for each location that usually has pictures as well and you can filter based on locations with v4 stalls which can make life easier in even moderately busy areas since Tesla owners are going...
I like MotorTrend's chart. Shows how higher speed can impact range and fairly accurate based on my experiences. Obviously cold temps, head wind or large elevation changes could further impact the ratings.
I may try E if I get bored tomorrow but don't see how it could make difference based on the values. I'm guessing it's missing something in one of the charging related modules. I'll have to pester someone to check what I have showing.
Just got back from a trip from Raleigh, NC to Williamsburg, down to Hatteras and back (~650miles) with a Lariat ER using only Google Maps. Ended up making 4 charging stops. Probably could've stretched it but bladder and easily accessible locations dictated where I stopped. Google did seem to be...
Well good news and bad news. My oem setting was 0064 so updated it to 0066. Was able to get the screens working but the settings don't seem to stick as someone else mentioned. Deleted my home locations and it reverts to the usual 100% when plugging into AC. I can can update the values, turn the...
Did they check your 12v battery? It can cause a lot of odd sounds and wonky behavior
ha. You can have mine. Swear I can hear the darn thing from a block away.
Will have to try it on my 23 Lariat when I get back in town this afternoon. Updated everything in FDRS back in April so we'll see. Know Martin with Martin Rebuilds enabled it on his 23 but mentioned it didn't quite work right since he didn't have all the updates. Believe he also managed to get...
