He probably hasn't done anything. Most of the updates aside from the gwm, apim, tcu and maybe the IPC require the truck to be in accessory mode.

BC would still require forscan if I'm not mistaken which the dealer won't do. I updated one a month or so back and it didn't have the settings even with the new ipma/pscm.

It's enabling the lane biasing toggle. You're basically taking whatever you had as the original value and changing it to Lane Biasing Enabled, keeping everything else the same. Mine was originally an A so should be a E to add lane biasing. (Edited to change C to E.)

When you enable the toggles in Forscan, there's one to enable/disable WAL and a separate one to enable/disable WAL Feedback so I'm guessing it's different than the standard honk setting. Neither of those were added with the OTA. I didn't add the feedback toggle since I'm anti bing/bong/honk and...

Going to upset quite a few people without the toggle to turn it off. Ford just likes making their support teams pull their hair out with these half baked updates. Guess they'll probably push the WAL toggle with the toggles for BC 1.4.

Forscan is fairly straight forward and idiot proof assuming you back up modules you're changing or make note of the changes. ~$60 for the adapter and the license if free for two months. The problem is that you'll add the updated toggles but that won't be enough so you'll tinker with some more...

Dealer updated the BCM which enabled WAL. Downside is Ford hasn't officially rolled it out to Pre-24MY so no toggles unless you enable them in FORScan yourself.
