I think the big point here that a lot of new owners miss is that just because a station lists x kW, you may not get anywhere close due to the sub-400 voltage of the lightning's battery pack as it needs higher amperage to get the max speeds. That's why I like using Car Scanner so I can see what...
Not sure how much truth is in the 500 amp on the 150's. The signets are junk due to the signet surge but you generally pull a bit more On EA 350's than the 150's due to higher amperage cables. This is why @tommolog with State of Charge preferred the 350's during the race to florida last year.
Had left Predictive Speed Assist on today and noticed a gray box with the upcoming speed going from a 55 to 45 slowing down gradually ahead of the change. Huge improvement over trying to throw you through the windshield. Still accelerates hard when increasing speed though.
Finally got to try the official blue cruise ota today. The curve control doesn't give you whiplash like it did with just the front sensor csp and looks like they fixed the issue with it still being on with Predictive Speed Assist disabled. As someone else mentioned, I also noticed it seems to...
Yeah the truck doesn't check when it's idle. Ford puts your vin in the queue for an update and the truck has to be started for it to phone home and see if it has the day's lucky numbers.
I've had the sensor replacement and the battery still drops to 60ish percent after a few days not charging. The 12v in these things are practically useless
Well, I compared the before and after values in the IPMA and PSCM and found one change for 706-02-02 which appears to have re-enabled the annoying curve control after I disabled it previously. Guess I'll see if it behaves any differently before disabling again but not going to hold my breath.
Yeah you're probably up to date. If there's a pending update, it should show a little exclamation point beside the firmware version. 2 hours away from mine so can't check what it's showing. Could've sworn you used to be able to view the firmware in the ford pass app but it's been a while since I...
That would be rather annoying if Ford turned it on OTA and didn't add the toggle but then again BC 1.4 shows they like half baked updates as you mentioned. Pro tip, don't leave your phone inside the truck and expect it not to lock. Was washing mine and had it lock with the phone sitting in the...
yeah, seemed to only affect those charging at 80 amps and turning it down was the work around until the update. Some still reported the issue after the update but mine has been solid since. Don't recall what the original firmware was but was showing a pending update after installing mine March...
The overheating error was a common occurrence with the original firmware. I got the same message the first day I used it but it installed an update that night. No further issues in the last 14 months.
If Ford would do their job and wasn't slow as molasses with updates, the average person wouldn't even need fdrs or pts. They should be happy though that people are willing to check or update on their own so the dealers aren't hammered by people calling them.
