I'm fortunate enough to have both, and they are both endowed with quirks and charms. I like the size and visibility of the large screen in my Lariat but I also like the physical buttons in my wife's XLT. The software for nav and cams also seems better supported in the XLT. The knob-in-screen of the Lariat does work reasonably well, but there is a learning curve. I would definitely NOT base a purchase decision around the screen, IMO it's six of one, square root of 36 of the other...

I did not know all of the ER's will have the big screen. Thanks for passing that on.

12 is more functional and I don't need to take my eyes off the road to use the physical buttons.

My 2018 F150 had an 8" screen, it was fine except I wanted something bigger this time to make it easier to touch controls, I guess I have fat fingers. That truck had a bunch of physical buttons that I never used. I set climate to 71 auto and the only time I ever changed it was to hit defrost a couple times. Never touched the other climate buttons.

I like the 15" screen, it's nice and big and everything is easy to see. And the truck has just the right amount of physical buttons and controls. I don't like it when everything is on the screen, but I don't need a button for everything.

I was shocked to learn you can't use Android Auto/Apple Car play split screen with backup camera on the "higher end" 15" screen, a really nice feature when I have the truck bed loaded and strapped for the 12"

My Flash came with the 15" screen and it's one of my few complaints about the truck so far. I would much prefer the 12" screen and it's associated physical buttons. Buttons and knobs are always less distracting and faster.

I have not had experience with the 12" screen. I would appreciate having buttons for the seats/HVAC. The 15" works well but can be laggy.

I installed a "screen protector" on my screen and the fingerprints are much less of an issue. Likely some sort of magic.

Have you been a user of both the 12" and 15" screen? If so which do you prefer? I have the 12. My sales guy said he liked the 12 better and I think he was being candid because I wasn't yet committed to the truck I wound up purchasing (XLT). I haven't used the 15. Do you know if Ford plans to continue the 12? Thanks.
I really like the 12" screen layout over the 15" Android/IPad glued-to-the-dash look. The Lariot and Platinum trim package should offer up the 12" or integrate the 15" screen into the dash. I don't think I'd buy a truck with the non-integrated screen. We can't let Tesla influence us so much. I wouldn't buy a Tesla truck because of its goofy look. I'm so glad Ford used the F150 look.

I have used both. 15" screen has Wow factor, but the on screen controls are a bigger pain than using physical dedicated buttons. 12" screen is still quite large, and it feels like a large screen for a vehicle. I prefer the 12" screen, the physical buttons make it worth while.
