Wed 3/26/2025 my "Yellow Wrench" Engine light came on with Reduced Power warning ( Tried charging the battery and only reached 50% capacity). , take truck to Dealer message. Took it Mon 31st because no Lightning techs were available before that. Wed 4/2 got a call that the Battery pack was defective and needed to be replaced. 4/9/2025 Norm Reeves Ford (Cerritos) Called; have not received the Battery yet from Ford. I am documenting this for others because I can see where this is going and perhaps you can compare with your dead battery experiences on Ford EVs.

Call Ford and ask for the BEV group, and confirm that battery pack was ordered via COPIS (Ford's rush system). Get a case number.

WED 4/15/2025: My truck was comleted today and delivered. They replaced Module2 which had defective cells, now I will test drive it for the next week and see how it goes, so far seems OK.

Build date? Model? ER/SR? Miles?

Some 2021-2023 Mustang Mach-E, 2022-2023 F-150 Lightning/e-Transit vehicles may exhibit a concern where the vehicle is unable to achieve 100 percent state of charge immediately after high voltage (HV) battery module balancing and replacement. This may be due to the battery energy control module (BECM) adjusting the cell balance (conditioning) of the battery module and should be corrected within 22 days. If the vehicle otherwise functions as designed with no related diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) setting, this concern will be corrected automatically with no further actions required by the technician.
