Just an FYI for those curious, I purchased a key fob made for ICE trucks that has remote start and power tailgate release along with lock/unlock/panic.

Programmed it as per the owners manual now I can remote start the climate control with the fob as opposed to using Fordpass.

You lose the frunk button so there's a caveat with this, won't bother me any as I'm so used to hitting the unlock button approaching my old truck, it's like muscle memory, then just use the under ledge button to open the frunk when I get to it.

Link to the fob I purchased below, it's a genuine Ford oem fob with mechanical key blank ready for cutting. Half the cost my local dealer charges for a fob.

Thanks for posting. Folks should know this is a 433 MHz fob and will not work for trucks that are 315 MHz like 2022 and I think many 2023's.

Check the FCC ID of your existing fob first to determine its frequency.

They specify on the link it only fits 24-25 so there's that.

Guarantee someone will ignore that. And I think there was a mid-year change in there somewhere. Bottom line folks need to know there are differences.

I titled the thread to ALSO specify this was for the 2025. If someone misses that, it's on them.

I'm not putting any after market remote start in any of my vehicles. They have been the harbinger of doom on nearly every vehicle I've ever worked on that had them.

Glad it works for you, hope it lasts you a while and know this, when, not if you start having electrical issues, start by tearing it out 1st before you opt for a trip to the dealer.

I've taken more of those kits off customer vehicles towed in than I can remember.

I'll keep that in mind. My truck unfortunately has been plagued by coax camera issues. Dealer just replaced the main interior harness due to a coax shorting out.

Never heard of a coax shorting out unless it was damaged in an accident or routed improperly from the factory. Could this be one of those electrical gremlins I mentioned with aftermarket electronics in the mix?

Not sure. The Ford engineers were in the diagnosis mode for the truck and caught it. Truck is 3mo old. Camera issues were before the remote start.
