I had the exact same issue with the Eibach setup on my Lightning.
I installed the full front/rear Eibach coilover kit, tried multiple snap ring heights (initially full lift, then OEM springs + lower perch)… and no matter what I did, the ride was unbelievably stiff.
Every small crack, expansion joint, or bump felt like the truck was skipping or jackhammering. I literally couldn’t drink coffee on my commute.
They sell the same kit for ER and SR. I was curious maybe it was because of the weight difference. I contacted the customer support, opened a ticket, and they asked for some photos of measurements. I sent all, but they didn't even respond.
For reference:
I tested:
- My previous setup was FOX 2.0 IFP + RC 2” spacer + OEM springs → super comfortable. I thought with the Eibach I may improve that; unfortunately, in my experience, I was wrong.
Switching to Eibach was night-and-day harsher.
Nothing fixed the harshness.
- Different preload settings
- OEM springs + Eibach struts
- Lower lift height
- Wheel spacers on/off
- Alignment after every change
Eventually I pulled the entire Eibach setup off the truck and went back to OEM springs + FOX 2.0 + RC leveling spacer.
Now I have ~150 miles used Eibach set that I'm trying to sell, paid lots of money for the labor, many days with Uber while the truck was in the shop, and back to what I had before.
Lessons learned, never ever again.
What did you end up doing with the rear? I like the flush camber I have with the ebiach setup at 0.7. I am looking at the fox 2.0 but wonder if I can still fit my 35x11.50 tires I have.
