Good review. I agree with most of it, particularly the manual frunk. The rake and the soft front suspension don't bother me at all. The size really bothers me but when I need the interior space, payload or towing, I can't do without. Here in the Southeast I can usually beat gas on a road trip almost always using Tesla and a membership. I think the simplicity and lack of routene maintenance is one of the biggest advantages. Also the low center of gravity, if you put some sticky tires on it, it would be great on my favorite Miata roads. It's not bad as is.

As far as the looks I like the stealthy nature of it. My Flash doesn't have the rear light bar which I like. In fact, I wish they hadn't put the front light bar on it and made the lights front and back exactly like the ICE 150. I don't like the lights ... but I understand.

Great comments and thanks for watching. Sounds like we agree on a lot of it.

I do not take advantage of the membership costs and I should have thought of pointing that out. Next road trip, I should try a Tesla membership.

Just this morning I was appreciating the low center of gravity as well on a high speed on-ramp sweeper turn. I think they handle great for their size, these trucks. Lowered with sticky tires and some good shocks would do wonders.

Ever thought about vinyl wrapping or plasticoating your front light bar?

Good job. Pretty darn decent review. I just rolled over 53K and here’s a couple of things I noticed.

if you aren’t adjusting headlights after a leveling kit, you are going to be raising your headlights and increasing the chance of blinding oncoming traffic. The factory rake assumes a bed load or towing tongue weight.

I drive ~90 miles a day and that front suspension glides over rough as a cob road patched areas. My very stiff ā€˜99 7.3 SD 250 4WD would rattle your teeth out. The floatyness is part of the reason it’s such a good ride. Lincoln-like. Or my grandfather’s Buick Roadmaster !

Stealth look. You nailed that dead on. Why my SIL likes it!

Physical size. A few city Rivian owners told me were it not for the physical size of the Lightnin… they’d have purchased one. We live in the country so no big deal.

GUI-I learned to live with it šŸ¤”.

Center front seat-my wife misses that. She used to sit next to me in the F250! Which means I miss it 😢!

Best vehicle ever… yep. I’m 70 and if it keeps up with low maintenance & dependability.. could be the last truck we own!
