Hey all,

As the title states, both Car Scanner and ABRP report a 6% battery degradation after 8,200 miles. It hasn't kicked out any errors or service notifications. It doesn't live on a charger at home (two EV house; one car driveway) but we're careful to keep it's SOC between 20% and 80%.
It seems an atypically large amount considering what I've read hear and elsewhere on what the expected degradation is. I'm curious what folks here think.
My Pro had 16500 miles when traded in and it was still 100%

I totally get the tendency to stress about batteries but for me, the truck is on warranty, I charge it whenever I want to whatever I want and I drive it. I tend to follow the 20-90 range but also charge to 100 almost weekly to make a trip up to my ski condo in the winter. I will likely not have this vehicle past the battery warranty so why stress.

Also, the more I read, the more it seems they are finding just how much more durable these batteries are.

100% agree. I stressed for the first few months as I went through the learning curve - now I just drive it. 2 years now and no worries. I charge to 100% whenever I'm heading on a longer day once or twice per month and otherwise keep it over 20% when possible and charge to 85-90% daily.

Just keep it out of the extremes. Don't leave it at 100% SOC for more than a few hours at a time and don't run it until the battery is completely flat and most of our packs will exceed expectations.

Have you ever charged to 100%? and when was the last time? You might try that. From other threads on the forum, you don’t really want to do 20 to 80% unless necessary! ABC-always be charging. I pretty much plug in every night except for the nights I forget or when I have a high SOC to begin with. I have just under 13,000 miles in nine months And my SOH is 99.5%!

How did you figure out your SOH? Can I do it with my Forscan plug in?

The report from my post is generated with fords FDRS. The dealer can also pull it with their OASIS software.
any of the supported VCI will work with FDRS just check the pinned thread on the forum here for more info.

I use this one:

My 2023 Lightning Lariat ER is at 99.5% SOH after 20.5 months and about 9000 miles. Very impressed after owning several Nissan Leaf’s that didn’t do well.

Below is from Carscanner App.

Can anyone help me get this app working?
I paid for it but when I look at the dash boards nothing populates. I down loaded others dash boards and nothing. It works on my camaro.

Thanks
