Wow, that a great price! I kept my 2007 F-150 XLT for 16 years, sold it to my brother when I got my Lightning in early 2023, and that XLT is still rolling strong today. I'm averaging about 12 to 15k miles per year in my Lightning, and i want to keep it well maintained with a good esp. I plan on keeping my Lightning for at least 10 years, and I just want a good extended service plan, but I'd like to know what all is covered with this Granger extended service plan.

Granger is just a dealership like any other. The extended service plan is thru Ford for all of them that use the Ford ESP. Not to be confused with their optional maintenance plans.

When I checked prices Granger was a lot more expensive, maybe I didn't key in the same specifics?

@RLXXI Here's the price plot for PremiumCareEV $0 deductible from Flood, matches what I see from Granger. You can see that the 10year/150k miles is over $5000. That's the one I bought in 2023 and it was around $4000. What I don't see, is an option for 100k miles at the price you claimed. Which means you either bought it several years ago before price increases, your dealer gave a massive discount, or your fibbing about something.

Granger was fine to work with when I bought mine, I just wish I'd double checked the VIN. I'm still bitter about getting prorated and losing $1000 when I was STILL UNDER FULL FACTORY WARRANTY after canceling it. Not sure how I feel about the ESP plans now, especially since @Granger Ford hasn't been able to confirm if the LED add on covers the rear taillight bar.

Top right most price $1130+ whatever the cost was/is for led coverage. My old truck is 12 years old with only 30k miles. I didn't buy any extra mileage, just extra time.

5 thousand?? Wow I bought the Premium care ESP with Max coverage including LED's with a $0.00 deductible for $1,150 out to 100,000 miles for everything. Albeit I only opted for 36,000 miles due to my lack of driving, I needed more time than mileage.

Try floodfordesp.com, they've always given me the best price over the last 3 vehicles I've purchased an ESP for.

Ah, so I think you mistyped mileage instead of time? That would explain it.
I average around 15k/year so I initially wanted the most protection I could get. Now I'm very much on the fence about what to do. If I hadn't screwed up my initial purchase I'd probable keep it and add the LED coverage. But now that it's another $1k I'm thinking not worth it. Maybe I've been lucky in that the only problem I have at 48k miles is a squeaky passenger window when I lower it. Everything else is in great shape.

Gotta buy the esp before base 3/36 is over for the best price. After base is expired you'd have to buy it as a used or CPO warranty and that requires even more to pay for the inspection and anything they find wrong at the time has to be repaired before they issue it.

So looking at Zirgler website, there is an option asking what warranty is currently active:

If I select the CPO Gold, the price for what I want (8y/100,000) is $500 cheeper than selecting the 36/36. I am covered by both of these. Granger website does not have this offering.

So I'm confused about what I should select. I am also seeing that my CPO ESP has a 12 month / 12,000 mile comprehensive limited warranty and a 7-year 100,000 mile powertrainCare warranty. Both of which were added on to the current 36/36 warranty.

The Ford Protect documentation also states:

This leads me to believe that as a used vehicle still under factory warranty, I should be able to purchase an ESP and have it take affect from the current milage or perhaps this is something that I would have needed to purchase when I got the vehicle?

Or should I wait until I am approaching the end of my CPO comprehensive limited warranty and purchase then?

It takes them a day or two, but you should get an email notification. Same thing happened when I just bought one for my new Lightning and the last time I did it (years ago) for my Powerboost.

Yeah it takes a few days for them to get everything input into Ford's database and such, then they'll email a copy to you.
