Agreed. I think it’s more of a dealership issue. My truck had to be towed. So I towed it to the closest dealership. About two miles away. The other option wasn’t a possibility since the tow truck that came was your standard old school tow truck. He put the back wheels under Dollie’s. It was a super sketchy set up. He even stopped in the middle of a three lane highway to adjust the dolly. Otherwise I’d have gone to a dealership 10 miles south of me. I love the truck. But my wife also said, because of this issue that if I buy another Ford she’ll murder me. Lol. Hyperbole. Hopefully. Lol. But I really love F150’s. I’m outside of the 24 months 24k miles to do a lemon law too. So I have to cross my fingers this dealership fixes it and fixes it right. I’m concerned they won’t seal everything back up properly. #imissmylightningI just reviewed your past posts and I can see why your frustrated with your truck. Ford has had QC issues building our great truck, but their battery supplier issues are the most serious. I would say some of your frustration comes from your dealer's failure to communicate clearly, and do the work quickly and correctly the first time. Do you have another dealer closeby?
Tough decision to keep it, trade it, or move on to another vehicle. So far yours have been warranty issues (I think) but without an extended service agreement keeping it will be gamble many of us are uncomfortable, especially with your experiences. The battery and associated items still are protected for several years, and really should be handled professionally, and quickly, by a good dealer.
Good Luck.
