With regard to summer, the heat doesn't have impact either. They claim the entire cooling system can be eliminated.

The downside for the Lightning, this approach will not work with pouch cells, but modules could be adapted I would think. There must be serious downsides of this approach.

Sounds really cool. Saw Porsche's investment arm was interested too. I'm a little suspicious of their claims of it being "safer" when punctured, and of their claims of non-toxicity. But I'm not an expert in any of this. I wish them success.
