worried that we won't be eligible for "the update" and the truck will still try to rub mirrors with 18-wheelers. It's really the only "big issue" that needs to be fixed with BlueCruise.

It would be incredibly short sighted for Ford to do this. The data collection alone is worth upgrading all capable vehicles to the latest BlueCruise.

agreed with the Ford/Tesla review. Ford's disengagements, merging lane issues with traffic, and weak lane centering at times def makes it a rather weak system. Tesla on freeway is the amazing but as stated the "give the steering wheel a tug" every brief moment is truly annoying.

I hope Bluecruise actually improves via OTA and not make more advanced features part of new model year vehicles only. Im anticipating Bluecruise 1.2

The Tesla system is bad on rural two-lane highways. It biases dead center which nobody does. Disconcerting to other drivers (who naturally bias towards the outside of the lane). I would commonly see them ride the rumble strip when on AutoPilot.

Point for Tesla: functioning OTA. My truck says there is no available Bluecruise update (expired in October, no hands free), while the app claims there is an update (which there is). Made an appointment at a Ford dealer and when I showed up they said they were three days behind. No advance call, no email, no rangers, no nothing.

This makes me feel better. I've been burned by too many car companies putting out some QoL software update but restricting it to newer models. For all Tesla's faults, they really hit a home run with continuous software updates.

Not that I've noticed.
Does if not position the car in the center of the lane then? It’s been two years since I’ve driven one.
