This is the final stage of the "you're not paying attention, so the system is going to disengage and be disabled" cycle.I was returning home from a Christmas trip. Bluecrise was on and working. All the sudden it started alarming that face blocked. (note, no change to my looking ahead or any other self cause) It turned on my emergency flashers. I tried to disengage but it wouldn't work. It stated stuttering as if it was brake tapping or there were small bump strips on the interstate. I pulled of the interstate. Turned it off and restarted truck (2023 Plat) . No problems after. The truck trying to slow its self down was disconcerting. Any idea why it would happen?
Any chance that sun was directly hitting the IR camera on the A-Pillar? That's a common one.
I seem to have spectacular luck with the particular angles of the sun (generally early morning heading W/SW or late afternoon heading E/NE) that will blind this camera and start the pay attention cycle. I know it's the A-Pillar camera because if I put my hand up to shade the camera or put a piece of paper up to shade it, it will start "seeing" me again.
I've considered creating a keyhole aperture on the camera cover to prevent this issue, but I find so little value in the system that I haven't bothered to pick up $0.50 in black vinyl to create it.
Yet another well thought-out design from the BlewCruze team.
