CarPlay stopped working with my phone

2023 Lightning Lariat ER, 1999 Boxster
Has anyone else had a recent issue with their IPhone and CarPlay not connecting? I have tried multiple times wirelessly, disconnected and re-paired my phone, and have tried several cables in both the USB a and c ports in the dash cubby. Have re-started Sync and my phone. Nothing seems work. Has been going on for the past four days now. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I have had issues before where it would not connect automatically, or take a few minutes, and usually plugging in the USB cable fixed the issue. No joy so far.

Is your IOS up to date? There was at least one version that was a little buggy with CarPlay.

Is your IOS up to date? There was at least one version that was a little buggy with CarPlay.
On iOS 26.3.1, so current.

Totally perplexed. Hoping that tomorrow it will magically fix itself like it magically broke itself.

Car Play just last week quit working on all three of my EVs — Mach-e, Lightning, and EV9. I am pretty sure the problem is with Apple.

Have you tried removing your phone from the Lightning’s CarPlay list and the Lightning from your IPhone’s CarPlay list and doing a full re-pair?

Try powering down the phone completely.

did you get the latest sync update? Some other folks reported issue after that one - I use a SSD through the USB nad have had no issues after the update.

No updates on the truck or on my phone in the last few days. But they decided to play nice this morning and CarPlay worked, after 4 days of failure. Hopefully they have made up and will continue to work together.
