Does anyone know if you can change the charging % on the ford app or is it only able to be done in the truck? And also when I do it the truck it always takes 2 times of saving the one time charging setting which is super annoying., why doesn’t it do it on the first time????

One time setting only in truck.

You can change % for saved location. FordPass changes often don't take.

Establishing your location based charging profiles for {Home, Work, etc} when you are AC level 2 charging with the FCSP, FMC, other makes/models. The setup process is easier done in the truck when creating a new profile, but once created, you can edit the percentage charge limit in the Fordpass app as the needs fluctuate.

I primarily use the SYNC one time charge limit in the truck while at DCFC stations, typically I lower mine from the default 90% to 80%, this is the cost break-even point for DC charging at EA stations in Mass as compared to my home charging utility rate. If I want more energy and I'm local to home, I finish the charge session at home evening/overnight to reach what I may need for a big trip, I'll edit my home profile from the prefered 85% to 100% so that the truck is ready to pull my trailer or take a long distance road trip. While on a long road trip, I will adjust the [ONE TIME] %SOC limit as needed to reach the next DCFC charging station.

The one time max charge setting is exactly that a one time setting that will not last beyond one charge. You can set max daily charge on both the truck and on the app. If things are working right they (the truck and the app) communicate with each other. If you set the app to 80% and app to truck communications are working it will show as 80% on the truck. If you change it on the truck to 85% the app should change to reflect the new setting.

The hardest thing I had was the confusing wording on the truck charging app. The buttons to get to next screens are not intuitive. But they do work.

I used to be able to change charge settings for home location on the app. On Home page I used to have a details button that would get me to charging details page that is gone now. While charging, I used to have a button to charge to 100%. All gone. I have no control over charging in the App. Is it just me and I need to take out a fuse or reset something? Or they have updated the app and it is everyone? Any ideas?

p.s. when I referesh the home screen I still can see the new SOC while charging and my connectivity settings are on (except driving data).

I agree that changing the 'one time charging rate' on the screen when at DC Fast Charging does NOT work the first time, ever... you always have to input it a second time. Strange.

I'm unplugged at the moment, but IIRC the DETAILS button only appears while your truck is plugged in and the charging station is on/ready/standby.

I'll double check in the AM to confirm that it reappears when I plug her in, and if the "Charge to 100%" button is present or missing.

Note, the most recent FORDPASS update has a glitch on the details screen, periodically the details data blanks out with dashes, this can be triggered immediately when using my screen grabbing app (Samsung Galaxy S10e), when this occurs, I need to wait a few more seconds for the data reappear before taking the snapshot.

Glalaxy S20 here, charging with Ford mobile charger right now and seeing nothing about charging in the App. I used to see everything with the same phone, charger and truck. Not sure if the app has been updated between when it worked and now. My FORDPASS version is 4.29.1.

If yours works, could you share your App version?

Quick testing of FORDPASS app charging [DETAILS] screen:

Appears I have the controls listed while plugged in, I see the charge to 100%.

After initialising the charging session, I can resume my schedule or stop charging and then resume schedule again after the immediate stop.

The one defect is that the[Charge Rate] and [Energy added] are NOT being logged during the short 4 minute test.

A side note that has been an issue since Friday evening (maybe longer since I had not recently looked) is that the FORD DATA CLOUD is reporting my FCSP is not talking them, this happens appx weekly to every couple weeks. I can use the FORD CHARGE STATION SETUP utility to connect the FCSP via my home network with no problems, but for what ever reason it's into reaching the FORD CLOUD to report metrics like my Friday/Saturday (after midnight) top off charge)

@Ford Motor Company please have the folks look at the databases which log our charging data & let the mobile device app developers fix the charging data details in an upcoming version !!

So, after a returning from morning errands, I power cycled the FCSP, had to wait about 5+ minutes and now the FORD cloud is recognizing my station, IIRC another network savvy forum member observed and postulated that the FCSP's internal networking protocols are sketchy leading to a ~hung session~ situation, the power cycle might have cleared this issue, or the Ford Cloud woke up to a fresh new week.
