I’ve searched the threads but haven’t had any luck trying to fix this. I plugged in at home today and got a charging error on the app and the truck says charger not detected. I have a Chargepoint charger. I’ve reset the breaker for a min or two and the charger seems to be fine. I ran up to a DCFC and it charged no problem. I then went home and. tried disconnecting the 12v battery for 30 min and still no luck. Tried to pull the manual dc charger release cord to reset something in the charge port and that didn’t work. So home charger not working. Fast charging is. Any suggestions?

Find a public J1772 charger and confirm that it does work. That confirms if the issue is with the truck or the ChargePoint EVSE. Also, if you have a friend tat drives an EV, see if their car can charge from your EVSE.

Yes, I can definitely charge at a public charger. I have a friend that has a Tesla maybe ask him to come over. Good idea.

You missed my point. You stated that you could charge at a DCFC. I am suggesting that you charge at a J1772 (slow - AC) charger. Knowing that DCFC works does NOT prove that AC charging works. For example, the on board AC charger in the truck is not used in any way for DCFC.
Remember that your Tesla friend will need a J1772 to NACS adapter.

Oh right. I misunderstood yes. I’ll try that tomorrow. Thanks.

I recall another owner on the forum having the same problem - J1772 wouldn't work, DCFC did.

I believe it turned out to be the AC-DC converter or the wiring for it - J1772 home chargers provide AC to the truck, it converts it to DC for the battery.

Rodents like to chew the wiring apparently.

Best take it to Ford service.

One note of caution - if it turns out to be the wiring, and it was chewed by rodents or otherwise damaged, you will have an uphill battle getting it covered by Ford's warranty. But your auto-insurance might cover it.

Confirmed, it’s not the truck. It’s my ChargePoint charger. It will be replaced under warranty. Truck changed fine at a public level 2 charger.
Good news - especially since it's under warranty. Now you understand why I suggested testing with a L2 public charger.
