I had an email that there are still openings to join the waiting list for early access to the pre-order list for a non-refundable $100. Looks like maybe the non-refundable route is indeed a better solution to gauge interest.

I don't think mine is refundable either and I honestly doubt I would buy it unless they pull off something something magical here that makes it must have. However, I'm honestly curious enough to burn $100 just to see if Ram does a better job than Ford did on the reservation process.

As much as I love the Lightning at some point it will be dated and the buying process will probably be one of the biggest factors on which I go with next. Gimme buy online and deliver it to my house with no nonsense and I'm likely sold.

I think it is refundable until the point that ordering starts, after that it is non-refundable. Or something like that

168kwh or 229kwh (I think he said) is a huge battery. If Ford's next truck and CT are in the same ballpark, better sell our Lightnings and upgrade before they aren't worth anything! Being an early adopter has its pros and cons.

No way, this Gen Lightning will be a classic Ford Product.

Sure, you’ll probably lose value right now, but in the long run it’ll be like those old Ford Pickup Classics running around.

As far as 500 miles…. I’ll believe it when I see it. Tesla hasn’t cracked the 500 mile range yet.

If it meets your needs then keep it long enough till it's not worth anything anyway.

14000 lbs towing won't come with the standard battery and 2700 payload won't come with 500 miles. Def going to be an either or on those two specs.
