Condensation in my Light bar of my Lightning.

Hello Ford.
Hello folks.
My tailgate light bar has….a lot of condensation….in it and my white LEDs are going out again.
This is the third(3) light bar from the original recall.
I am wondering, who are the suppliers of the light bar for the Lightning.
Is this the first time these suppliers made a weather resistant light assembly for any automotive entity??
This is looking like another recall for that light bar.
Anyone else with this issue???

My original light bar is getting replaced today even though there's nothing wrong with it. tired of Ford nagging me. I hope the replacement doesn't have problems.

Never had a problem with the old or new one. Something with the installer or the truck if yours has gone out 3 times.

Look carefully.

Hit the magnifying glass in the upper right hand corner of the screen and search on Light bar. You will find lots of posts on it. Had something similar happen which messed with my rear camera. Dealer fixed it during my first visit. Might not be the part, could be the competency of the techs. Hope you get it fixed soon once and for all.

Well folks my tailgate light bar quit working except for 3 white LEDs. I am still under the warranty but I feel another recall is coming for that problematic light bar.

As long as your under warranty, your good. I’m outside the warranty period which brings it down to 12months/12k miles on the part. It’s well over $1000 to replace so keep an eye on it fo any signs of water infiltration. Interestingly every single failure occurred on the passenger side of the lightbar

The dealership pick up my truck on Thursday, conveniently located within 12 miles radius, and replaced the tailgate light bar again.
It looks bright and clean. Don’t know how long this one will last, but what the heck. Going for #4, I guess. It is a pricey light bar, but Ford don’t seem to mind replacing them every 10K miles. That is how they last during the wet season.
Trying not to be sarcastic but the light bar is newer part on my Lightning.

Glad it got replaced. Keep track of that warranty period for any signs of moisture again.

I'm no longer under warranty but I think Ford should cover it since it was a manufacturing defect that they tried to fix before.
My dealer says that since the part was replace 15 months ago, the 12 month parts warranty won't cover it. They say I'll have to call Ford to push for coverage.

I’m having the same issue. Worked fine before the recall now 14 months later it is leaking. Ford will not repair says it is not covered by warranty or recall Seems like BS as many people are having the same problems Step up ford!
