I still have a first minute reservation for the Silverado EV WT for $39K.

Wish I had a fleet account to get one this spring.

Consumer / retail ordering starts this summer for fall/winter deliveries.
GM saw what happened to Lightning. So, unless market dramatically changes, GM would release high end models first. I doubt if they will ever release $40k model.

I'm curious how the Gen 2 lightning looks. If it goes heavy on the Aero, it might look radical for a truck. I wonder if those of us in Gen 1 end up having unicorns. Pre aero trucks that are still electric!

And being honest here, I don't tow, drive far, or drive fast. If future generations are full on aero I'll keep my current one. I like the looks. I like boxy. It made me so happy to see Ford make a boxy Bronco. I understand and agree that aero is ultimately better, but I'll accept less to keep the classic looks.

Clearly the days of Lightning flips and absurd ADMs are over. I just pulled up Google maps and had it search for "Ford Dealers". I selected 10 of them at random and searched their available new inventory for Lightnings. Every one of them had at least 2 in stock. A few had 4-5.

While I don't expect price drops anytime soon, I am hoping we soon see some incentive programs as the inventories start to grow.

I did not realize that dealers actually had 150L trucks for sale on their lots.

I think t all comes down to how it is executed. I think an aero optimized truck could look really slick, or really horrible. I wouldn't have minded a little more aggressive restyling with the Lighting (though I do like how it looks).

In my opinion, I think RAM has a good look going with their concept truck, but Chevy missed the marked with the E-Silverado. Let's not talk about the door wedge cybertruck. Can't wait to see what Ford does. If I love the look of the next gen, I will sign up on day one. If not, happy to keep my Lightning, or see what RAM eventually brings to market.

Problem with searching dealer inventory is that customer orders get populated into the inventory and appear as stock when they really aren't.

Exactly, anything with a green window sticker is a special order and most likely spoken for. my local dealership has four one their website but none are available, maybe on at $10k markup. Mine never even listed on their site.
