No, it’s just stupid. The truck offers “keep on until #% charge reached“. But then it shuts off before the designated value put in by the driver ???? Why Ford? Efficiency? So we are forced to keep our trucks on all night using significantly more power than just the inverter. Ford should fix this so the truck works as expected.
Safety. To run the inverters they have to keep the 400v system energized. That means the HV wiring outside the battery is energized.

If there is no load they can turn off main power keeping the 400v system fully inside the battery case.

Do I think 100w is the right number, maybe not, but it makes sense to have a setpoint somewhere.

There is a set point to turn off for safety. They have chosen to do it by a user selected remaining battery level. They could also have chosen to allowing us to choose a duration (or both). But they ask us for a battery level then.... shut down the system regardless of our settings that they asked us for. I think its safer to power the 400V system for a few hours in a parked truck than having to run a timer switch to the 200 watt heater to trick the truck to do what it's supposed to.
