Yeah and pushing them to the right again. Folks are sliding into September, even late Sept. Something must to be going on - either they are slowing production due to the chip holds, or something is impacting them ramping up.

At this point I strongly suspect that some(many?) folks that got to order for MY2022 will get pushed to 2023. I wonder if Ford will offer price protection? The reduced tax credit will hurt enough.
As long as the delay keeps the tax credit in play, I am okay with a MY2023.

I’d rather have the first 2023 off the line at this point than a 2022 at the end of the model year.
Even with a price increase and half the tax credit?

Does anyone recall if there is a drop dead date for WAVE-7 to submit an order? I could not find any mention with the search engine on the wave-7 thread and I'm not reading 15 pages of complaining to filter down to the newbies posts

I would tend to agree about folks getting pushed, but the fact that there's a Wave 7 would make it seem Ford believes they have some additional capacity.

I admittedly may be missing something as I haven't followed the Wave 7 stuff too closely. I've decided to limit my time on this board a bit for the sake of my mental health :ROFLMAO:

Don’t think it will be that bad of a price increase with the Chevy coming out next year, and yes I realize the cheaper models are a little further out but that should help our case. And I expect the first 2023 people will get the full tax credit. So yes?

Thank you, I'm trying to speculate on reasons why the factory has not (YET) issued scheduling for late summer & thinking maybe they will wait for the wave-7 folks to post orders, then give the ball tumbler one last spin and blast out the rest of scheduling for MY22 afterward, maybe 6/30.

I believe it is a certainty that those that have ordered (or will order from a Wave #7 Invite) a 2022 will receive their truck at the agreed upon price (except for those subject to corrupt dealerships). Some may not be able to take delivery until after December 31st, and therefore will be unable to take advantage of 100% of the Tax Credit (and will have to use the Tax Credit on their 2023 Tax Return instead of 2022).

Ford would not have reopened 2022 Orders otherwise. It is possible that 2022 production may run into December and 2023 production will not start until that process is completed. Remember that there was a four month lag between the order bank opening for the 2022 and the start of production. Ford will not start taking 2023 orders until at least middle to late August, and they may let that date slip some if they do not have a firm plan for finishing 2022 production by that time.

There are numerous theories on what is now holding up new scheduling and shipping. Possibly there are several thousand trucks that were parked now being retrofitted with chips and software updates. That may be a reason production is paused the week of June 30th.

Anyone hoping their 2022 order might be shifted to 2023 will be in for a big loss. I expect 2023 MSRP to be increased by 5%-10% (especially after Tesla's huge increase today) making an $80,000 Lariat +$85,000. Increasing financing interest rates will add another $1,000 a year. Many, or all, 2023 models will lose at least half of the Tax Credit and inflation in 2023 will eat up even more until they can use it in 2024 tax season.

I do not have any inside information. These are all my own opinions but I always plan for the worst and hope for the best.

Given folks are sliding into September, I would say that July and August are full. Maybe a few slots left in Sept.

I just got bumped. From 8/29 -> 8/22 -> 8/29. Could be worse. I really want something around 8/1.

but those of us on chip hold are still hoping for a delivery before dec 31. ??‍♂.
it’s still sucks to see that they are shipping some from all build weeks while others are sent to the parking lots without an orderly (fair) process of those parked.

but at least we are msrp’d at time of order.

Right, but given that they are already scheduling into September and half of those with 2022 orders haven't been scheduled yet, there is no way those dates hold.

I guess we'll see. I think Wave 7 was to fill gaps from cancelled reservations/orders. Don't seem to be too many Wave 7 folk.
