DIY: Installing ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control) and LKA (Lane Keep Alert) to 2022 F-150 Lightning XLT

Yep, that's the plan. I'll build a "middleman" cable with deutsch connectors on both sides to connect CCM short cable with IPMA Comma harness mod.
What about the ForScan codes, can I stick with those posted in the 1st page since mine is also a '22 XLT? Are they still good or someone found a change for better results?

Hi Naveen,

So basically all you need is a harness sold by comma 3x. If you never heard of it, watch this video because that will be the next thing you would want to buy for your truck when you are done with this project.


And since you'll need that Ford Q4 cable when you go for Comma 3x, mind as well buy it now. It costs $90 and they ship from San Diego. I'm in Vegas so I got mine in 3 days. If you look at the pictures you can see that I prepared a deutsch connector that I'm about to attach it to this comma 3x harness. Then you plug this to c134 connector and the c134 from truck to this harness, keeping your truck wires intact.

I was able to finally get this one going this weekend . A ton of thanks and gratitude to this community for helping me on this one.

@ZSC100 kudos to you for publishing the whole process with minute details. I took the route of inserting required pins to C134 and then routing it to IPMA module on the driver side.

I used Poshi tap connectors to tap into IPMA side wires.

FORSCAN Changes ( F150 Lightning 2023 XLT- 311A ) - File attached.


While working with FORSCAN please make sure to take backup of modules to which we are doing the changes.. that way it can be restored in case something goes wrong.

Few of things which i learned while going through this process..

1) Please read through this entire blog (Page 1 - Page 50) to gain understanding of what we are trying to do and various options we have to accomplish this task. I didnt read through entire blog hence it took me 3 iterations to get it done.

2) Make sure to check if you have required wires on IMPA , C265 and C134 side.

@ZSC100 Quick question - Im getting "Keep your hands on steering wheel" a lot . I saw you mentioned somewhere -> " false steering wheel torque signal spoofed onto the FD-CAN bus so I don't have to keep my hands on the wheel. "

Can you please break this down for me .. Not able to fully understand this one. Appreciate your support on this one.

Great work. Glad you did it. I have almost all the wires ready and now waiting on the CCM to arrive sometime this Wednesday. I'm planning to finish this project on the weekend.

Did you have a problem recognizing the CCM in ForScan?

I did FORSCAN updates in below format

SCCM (Not required since i haven't replaced steering wheel button until now)

ABS
IPC
BdyCM
IPMA

After this did the hard reset of truck (Disconnect ForScan cable, unplug from Truck, Cycle truck Off/On)

Plug cable back in and connect with FORSCAN. Dont load Saved profile, let is rescan everything and it should show new CCM module.

Connect to IPMA and take a screenshot of the following values

Connect to the CCM module and input those values into these spaces.
