Does your charge port door spring open? Mine doesn’t :(

I’m wondering if everyone’s Charge Port door springs open? Here’s a video of mine.

How difficult is this to replace? I thought it should spring open, right?

My truck did this last year in the winter. I ignored it and it went away on its own. I suspect some water may have gotten inside and froze, causing the door to stick.

Mine acts up sometimes but doesnt bother me, BUT! It would be nice to have it lockable and have the cord lock in when charging.

2022 Lariat and the door has gotten a little more like me. Its lost a little pep from its step. But (I’m) it’s not ready to be replaced.

the ole mechanic’s flow chart: does it move? Yes/No. if yes and it’s not supposed to use duct tape. If no and it is use WD-40.

Seriously?

Open door. Move back and forth. Big arm disappears into a hole. Spray silicone spray, not regular WD-40, into that cavity. Move door back and forth.

Now, spray plunger on latch.

Done.

Mine does that but only after I drop one of them blue pills in the washer fluid and wait half an hour.
