From what I can tell from the specs, the Pro Lightning doesn't have running boards, even as an option. I guess I'll have to buy those myself later. Anyone want to correct me on this?

That is correct according to the Tech Specs.

Hopefully any running boards that fit the ice truck will fit the lightning.

I'm sure they will. The truck is practically the same as the ICE truck, only difference being the electric drivetrain, so most addons should fit the Lightning.

I believe there should be an option for it because of that worktruck light feature. In some of the photos the running boards have integrated lights so maybe ?

There have been modifications to the frame to accommodate the battery plus the motors and associated suspension changes. It's possible the running board mount points have been modified/moved. It's unlikely but I wouldn't count on it until someone is able to actually verify that a current accessory actually fits.

Talking with my dealership some more, I’m probably skipping my Pro reservation and getting an XLT. With the priority on Pros going to the much larger fleet purchases and considering I can do X-Plan pricing or better on the XLT, price is going to be similar and I’ll probably get the XLT quicker. Still planning on Lariat+ or Platinum for my personal truck.

Running boards mount to the cab, not the frame.

I plan on putting another set of Amp Research power boards on the new truck. I've had them on my 8y/o truck since almost new and wouldn't have any other kind. I could take them off my current truck but with a 4" lift kit and 35" tires, short people wouldn't be able to get in. ?
If you're trading it in...that's no longer your problem, right???

True, maybe I'll take them off and toss a Harbor freight folding step stool I bought in the back floorboard. ?
Honestly, if I was trading in a vehicle I would return it to as stock as possible because the aftermarket accessories don't really increase trade value. I know it's a hassle, but with a truck, it shouldn't be too hard to sell anything you take off but can't reuse.

I was looking at that particular power running boards on AutoAnything yesterday, $1600. They're nice, but will the Lightning have an OBD II interface?

OBD2 most likely. I don't see Ford straying from the standard like Tesla has

The Mach-e has an OBD2 port, I would expect the lightning to have one for at least the first generation

So, do we know at this point whether the Pro will have running boards as even an option? Based off the last livestream they said no cab steps but is that the same as running boards?

Yeah, whomever phrased that question didn't do us any favors :(
