Starting to get antsy waiting for my plug and play kit to arrive, the stock system grows more and more annoying as time goes on

Almost wanted to email them and see what the difference would be to add a focal ecosystem instead of the gladen audio but decided I've already went over budget from simply wanting a subwoofer.

Has anyone the Kicker Sub and amp upgrade from Fords accessories website? (VML3Z-18808-A)

I've read negative things on the ICE forums about a similar unit, but nothing decisive...

Supposed to also improve mid/high range.
This is for XLT , no B&O.

I don't know how close it is to the same, but Ford has offered this upgrade (or similar) for many years. I had the kicker upgrade in a 2014 with the Sony radio. The dealer I bought from added it to everyone of their trucks sitting on the lot.

I really didn't have a before and after to compare to, but I wouldn't say it added a lot. I think they had a $700 markup on the sticker at the time. I wouldn't pat that for it today (I didn't back then either the truck was heavily discounted and the removed that from my purchase price), but maybe it is worth that to some.

Bottom line is I think there are likely better options for the same price. Some document them in this thread and others over on the ICE forum f150gen14.com. I'm thinking I would go with any of those before the Ford branded replacement. I believe you have a Forscan change or two to make adding something simple like that.

Got stuck on what fuse to use to switch the amp on/off with Push Start. Most of the obvious ones stayed on all the time. Fuse 37 (unused) was what I finally settled on.

Can I ask where Fuse 37 is located? I need to Tap-A-Fuse, to remote turn my DSP on & off.

Likely referring to the fuse box in the passenger footwell. Grab a copy of the manual and it will show you where the fuse box is and you can also confirm what fuse 37 in that box is listed for.

Yah, I realized that after my comment 🤦🏻‍♂️

My 37 Fuse Slot is for the power tailgate (which I don’t even have on my XLT), so I just used fuse #2, which is for the drivers window. Worked perfectly!
