When selecting a vehicle, I don't see the F-150 lightning listed in the model drop down. Is it safe to assume that choosing F-150 will get me compatible accessories?

For those that don't know, some credit cards have offers for Accessories.Ford.com. Right now, a Citi DoubleCash card gives 4% back, through 8/9. You have to enroll in the offer. Don't use a virtual card, put in the card info directly. Some Amex cards have 4% back also. Rakuten (formerly eBates), also offers 2.5% back. www.rakuten.com/r/918897?eeid=28187

Any recommendations for things being sold on there? I already have the SuperCharger adapter for each of our EVs. I have the Mach-e charger bag. Not looking to get stuff just to get it, but if anyone has found some useful accessories it may help others as well.

Here's a couple I know of:
SuperCharger Adapter-

5-30 to 14-50 Adapter-

Mach-e Charger Bag - Yeah it's Mach-e, but it's a nice case.

Ooh, I never would have thought of that. I know it has a 240 outlet in the back, but didn't know what type of outlet. I saw someone talking about trying to charge another vehicle from their truck recently, but that it kept tripping the breaker. Is there something in this adapter and/or the ford mobile charger that would limit how much it draws when connected this way?

Nothing in the 5-30 to 14-50 Adapter - it's a dumb cord. The EV charger needs to limit to 30A in order to not trip the breaker. Don't know what you read so no idea where the issue was.

Most 2025's were ordered with the Ford Mobile Charger that has a Lightning specific 240V dongle that limits the charge to 30A (this dongle has a yellow band on it). The Mach-E version of the Mobile Charger does not. It's 240V dongle allows 32A charging and will will trip the Lightning's breaker.

If you use the mobile charger that came with the Lightning to charge other EVs then it will not trip the truck's breaker. If you try to use the one for the Mach-E or perhaps even a Nissan Leaf mobile charger it will trip the truck breaker since they draw 32 amps.

The same charger that Ford supplies for the Lightning has a modified POWER cord with a yellow tape on the cord. The POWER cord limits the charge output to 30 amps so the Lightning can use the charger to charge other vehicles.

Well, in case anyone was wondering, it seems that the STAR20 code is one time use per account, so make sure you get everything you want in a single order because you can't use it on mutiple separate orders.

Good to know. So it has to use the ford mobile charger that came with the lightning, and problems are likely if using the other vehicle's mobile charger. (Such as the one that came with my wife's Bolt.) Thanks!

No.

The Lightning's 240v circuit can only handle 30amps. Your Bolt can't pull anywhere near that, so you can safely use that charger. Apparently the source I found was incorrect, the Bolt has a 32amp charger, so you need to use the Lightning's charger.

The Mach-E came with a 32amp charger. So, if you want to charge a Mach-E with the Lightning, you need to use the Lightning's charger, not the Mach-E's. The only difference between the two chargers is the pigtail, with the yellow on the Lightning one.

Many other EVs allow you to set the max amperage in the vehicle. Set it to 30amps or less and you're fine, and can use their chargers. As of now, the Mach-E and Lightning do not have that capability, although the 2025 Mach-E apparently now does, and perhaps a future software update might remedy that for everyone, or not...

Doing a search, the Bolt comes with a 12A on 120V or 32A on 240V EVSE "Charger"

Unless you can dial down the Bolt in the car to 30 amps or less it will trip the breaker on a Lightning if attempted to charge the Bolt from a Lightning 240 v outlet. The Lightning provided EVSE "Charger" will function fine since it is limited to 30 amps.
