Ford Charge Station Pro - Newb Question

The “Pro” charger has different lugs capable of accepting #2. The FCSP is only rated for #3 max. You can transition to #3 in a j-box or disconnect near the EVSE.

I ran #1 aluminum 90’ to my disconnect, then a foot or so of #3 copper to the FCSP. Saved me over $200 in wire cost.

I used #2 wires on my fcsp. Works fine.

I should have said “the instructions specify #3 max.”
This a requirement that’s spelled out in NEC 110.3(B).

Hi, my FCSP finally arrived.

Do you have a disconnect switch in the picture? If so, what make and model?

It’s a Square-D 100A subpanel. For me, it was cheaper than buying a 100A disconnect. I’ll get you the model # when I get a chance.

That should work fine. I used a QO6-12L 100S.

Wish I could get that $$ for my FCSP ...

Can buy new FCSP’s all day long for $350…. I’m hoping that goes up a bit now that Ford is no longer including it With trucks and their new 80A Pro Charger is (same as FCSP but with out bi-directional power) is $600. I thought I had my FCSP sold a couple times and both times the buyers ghosted me. Had a couple others ask about it, but ultimately they decide to buy something else. Mostly I feel like it’s going to keep taking up space in my garage or I’m going to have to just give it away.
