not all Ford dealer locations are showing up on the 3rd party apps

Always nice to find a good/safe charging location.

Hopefully you have added it to Plug Share.

Actually no. I don’t own the charger and have no idea if they want it on PlugShare or not. My take on it is if they want it on the map it’s their business

PlugShare is crowdsourced, i.e. by people. So ANYONE can add a charger. Then, the owner of that charger can easily go in and mark the charger restricted to customers only if they want, or employees only... They can also report an inaccuracy to the PlugShare team if they want it removed.

Of course Ford dealerships were required to add DC fast chargers, and the fact that it shows in FordPass means it will get to PlugShare eventually. I added a dealership's new charger a few months back.

Plug Share has always been for users to share known locations, not so much the owners.

I am pretty sure if they charged money for your session (not free), then they would like it to be used as much as possible.

It's OK if you don't want to share the location with others.

Hopefully someone will add it soon. It may help an EV driver in a pinch someday.

I went to one in MD that charged $0.60/kWh, no pricing displayed on the charger or during the process, which was enough of an unpleasant surprise to not want to go there again.

OK, forget PlugShare, would you be willing to share the dealer's name on this forum? Asking for a guy who lives in "eastern Maryland".

Ford dealer in Montgomery, Alabama charges $1.00 per kWh. Such a rip off!

I had the occasion to travel from central Illinois to eastern Maryland. We took the EV6, standard range F150 pro not really part of its job description. While planning the trip I went through all the usual suspects Plugshare, ABRP ,ect still missing one piece on my preferred route. Decided to check out the Ford app and behold a Ford dealer exactly where I needed a charge. I hit that thing twice, once both ways and great experience both time. Seamless payment and 225 charge rate. In the front of the dealership, well lite and not gated. Morale of the story is currently not all Ford dealer locations are showing up on the 3rd party apps( maybe a good thing for us) so if your looking for a charge in an out of the way place remember to look at the Ford app.

No worries. Looks like the Washington, PA Ford dealership has been on Plug Share for a few months already. Has been getting good reviews since April 2024.

Similar great experience at the Ford dealer in Auburn, IN. The area in and around Ft Wayne was a CCS charging desert 1 year ago. Now multiple sites have come on line. Things are definitely improving!
