Sure would be nice if any party would take that semi-seriously. Especially the one that seems to cry the loudest about it and then makes it worse when it's their turn.
The Uni-party doesn't care about debt. Most of the politicians are old enough that they won't be alive when the country falls apart. Same for Trump. Ran on draining the swamp, but the swamp flooded his reconciliation bill with pork. And don't get me started on the Inflation Reduction Act that caused inflation. I really hate politics.

Will be interesting to see how close we get to Medicare insolvency before somebody in Washington wakes up and touches the third rail.

That was excluded in the final bill, fortunately. The selling part anyway. BBB might have changed the amount invested (I didn't look into it) but any EVs in service at the post office will remain.

Good investment too. Stop and go of mail trucks are a perfect use case for EVs.
Glad to hear that.
Not happy that my news feed did not report that it was dropped from the bill - just read today that the USPO WOULD be required to sell them...still in an article on-line published 3 hours ago!

The air cleaned up because of CARB, but there are still issues. Answer the question, who is responsible?

This was before the wildfires and was DIRECTLY over the city, a little brown cloud that never went away.

Don't be a child, I never claimed they would, straw man arguments and ignoring what was said isnt an argument.
I know know why and how the air cleaned up, I don't know what you mean by little brown cloud or straw man arguments, I'm against tax incentives, and I don't appreciate you referring to me as a child. If you are going that route, then keep your damn comments to yourself.

my brother-in-law falls into the same boat of 'blaming' us EV buyers because, as he says, 'he' shouldn't have to help pay for my purchase of an EV truck, we should all just let the vehicles 'pay' for themselves, without any government, and tax payers, helping us...

well, that's fine, until GM gets 'bailed out' by the government, when they are not able to stay in 'business', themselves, when "Both GM and Chrysler faced imminent bankruptcy and potential collapse, which could have had devastating consequences for the economy. "
He drives a Chevy truck, built after this 'bailout'.

Yes, it's easy to look at today's incentives and somehow feel that they are not fair, with new buyers getting incentives that we feel we didn't get , if that's your perspective, although, if we all look at the government's reasons for incentives, thru history, we might just find ourselves in that same 'boat'...
How big is too big to fail? If Tesla was about to go bankrupt, would you be for a Gov. bail out? Why not have the Gov. bail out failed startup EV companies. After all, it's for the good of our future economy, right?

Ask him why he's fine with tax payers paying tens of billions of dollars in subsidies to reduce the price of his gasoline.

Then dont act like it. You were aware of what I said, and you for a fact know I never claimed they would "solve all the world's problems", but more than that the argument was never even about that, not AT ALL. But yet you had to go make childish comments instead of crafting a valid point.

If you cant approach the topic with integrity maybe you should be the one keeping your comments to yourself.
