Hi F-150 Lightning forum folks,

Sharing as an FYI for those of you who know someone on the lookout for a Ford EV, we're extending Ford Power Promise all the way through January 5, 2026 in the United States. Customers that purchase a 2025 model year Mustang Mach-E or 2025 model year F-150 Lightning during this period will be eligible for the benefits.

Let's dive into some of the highlights and updates as they have changed throughout 2025:

Home Charging Made Easy (and Flexible) Customers who purchase or lease a new 2025 F-150 Lightning or Mustang Mach-E from a participating Ford dealer between October 1, 2025, and January 5, 2026 will be eligible for one of two great options...
  1. Complimentary Home Charge Station & Standard Installation: a complimentary home charger and its standard installation (some exclusions apply, like permitting costs and fees). The perfect opportunity to get set up for home charging right from the start.
  2. OR $2,000 Bonus Cash: If a customer prefers, they can opt for $2,000 in bonus cash instead.
What hasn’t changed…
  • 24/7 Live Support: Our dedicated Ford advisors are available 24/7, and Ford Roadside Assistance offers proactive charging support and towing for peace of mind.
  • On-the-Road Charging: Access to the BlueOval Charge Network, including over 20,000 designated Tesla Superchargers (with the Fast Charging Adapter). And, the FordPass App can help owners find and pay for charging along their route.
  • Battery Confidence: Drive with assurance knowing that a Ford EV comes with an 8-year/100k mile high-voltage battery warranty.

Wouldn’t have anything to do with the new car market particularly being in the toilet? No, of course the sticker price for the exact same (I really mean that, other than the year) is 10k or more than the year prior.

Seriously though, from the looks of most larger retail lots, we may be seeing those 2008-2009 prices before too long. Don’t even get me started on the mom and pop small lots.

Highly doubt 2009 prices. That was a horrible time. We are at 4.3 unemployment. Housing sales are worse than 2009 yet prices are near all time highs. ford pushed back refreshes a few years to save money on change over and refreshes.

$10-$15k off is psychological mind games if the final price is still $20k more then 8 years ago

Don’t know if you’ve been to dealers recently, but were there or really close. The cost cutting on the manufacturer (not limited to ford) and the passing on of shareholder expectations in the form of price adjustments for a less than quality product isn’t going to spark actionable interest in anything new to the consumer.

I’m disappointed with the industry as a whole from start to salesperson to service.

I have. I was there today actually. I am at my dealer about twice a month either picking up a truck or dropping one off or ordering a new one. I order fleet trucks for my business then rotate two personal ford trucks for myself as I use one for a “backup if our fleet trucks go down. One is a lightning , the other is an f350. If any truck goes down my dealer drives a truck over an hour with a driver to drop off a loaner then whatever is necessary to bring back the truck to the dealer. One time it was a flatbed for a battery modular for my lightning.

I understand if I only bought one truck every few years I would be treated differently but I still buy only fords because of my dealer/salesperson. Also ford seems to get parts faster/warranty claims are resolved quicker then Ram or GM

But again- if they take $10-$15k off a lariat it’s still several thousand higher then 2019

Im glad you get that level of service, truly. I also agree with the increase from 2019 or anytime really since it seems like everytime you go anywhere things are seeming to increase in price each day.

For me and anyone who is in the greater Little Rock area every Ford dealer that I’ve been to has had substantially aged “new” inventory like 2023s on the lot right now, and questionable bookkeeping as I do buy and sell out of the auction.

I’m not questioning your view on inventory. If that’s what you were referring to then I pretty much agree with your statement. I was referring to the prices/discounts.

This is a FANTASTIC promotion that Ford is doing. It is the sole thing that sealed the deal for me when I was at the dealership actually looking at Rangers and Broncos. Salesman told me about the Power Promise, and it put my mind at ease about trying the Lightning.

My charge station was installed by two electricians who did a great job. It has been every bit as awesome as expected, and cost me $0.00.

Without the Power Promise, I don't know that I'd be driving a Lightning today. I think it's smart for Ford to keep it going, especially with the tax credit now gone.
