FordPass App not displaying locked/unlocked

Is there a way to tell that the vehicle is locked or unlocked from just looking at the Ford Pass app?

Unfortunately not at the moment. A big UI and user experience gap with should have been quite obvious.

Hopefully someone can confirm that I did see that having a lock status in FordPass was in the works, but no ETA.

Yes unfortunately we can’t have nice things (yet?). My Toyota app tells me all kinds of things I wish the Ford app had, like door lock/unlock status, door open/closed status, rear hatch status, window/sunroof open/closed status.. the list goes on.

I hit the on screen lock button then the app will tell you if it's locked once it does. Same for unlocking. It's a brief little blip so you have to watch the app to be sure.

That's great... Just mentally seeing which companies I will look at next time around. My Cadillac app was free/included with vehicle too, until its 3 year anniversary (I was dumb and didn't read the fine print). Then they wanted $60/month as the cheapest onstar plan to keep the app. Needless to say, this will be my last GM.

The status is visible in the API. I use Home Assistant with the fordpass integration, and I can use that app to see if the truck is locked or not. But if you don't have HA, that's a steep entry just to see if the truck is locked. (Plus some automation to actively query the truck. Cause the truck doesn't actively update when off. So when you walk away, the fordpass servers still think the truck is unlocked until you send an active update request to the truck)
