Hood Deflector?

Anyone found a Lightning specific nose/hood deflector? I've already taken a peice of 2*4 and a large rock to the hood nose, right above the light bar. Would love a little physical protection up there. Not sure if the standard 2022 F150 one would fit?

Wouldn’t count on that fitting bc of the light bar and headlights. The shape
of the nose of the hood on the truck in that link is very different.

I’m not sure how the F150 bug deflectors go on, but on our Nissan frontier they actually bolt up under the hood and go around the nose so that wouldn’t really work too well on a lightning. I guess if you could attach it somehow behind the front panel on the nose maybe.

Some fresh Googling still isn't turning up any options. Is this kind of accessory being ignored under the assumption the Lightning specific hood/front end design is optimized for aerodynamics and so something like this would hurt?

I would describe the Lightning hood/front design as more "pessimized for aerodynamics" but I bet a deflector would make it even worse...

I love my truck and the frunk sure is handy but if they sold an alternate version with a sloped aerodynamic nose and 20+% more range, which I think it might well get, I would have bought that instead, for sure.

I ordered the hood deflector from accessories.ford.com along with some other items. Everything except the hood deflector arrived at my dealer's parts dept. Parts dept said that the Lightning specific hood deflector isn't available yet. They're usually good with the info that they pass along.

Me too. Wonder why, it says it's for a Lightning. It has to fit. Although, the drawing in the picture doesn't give me much confidence.

Rep at Ford says the 'it doesn't fit note' is an error, and they will get it corrected. I ordered one.

I ordered the Hood Protector from the Ford parts store. I haven't checked the fitment yet as I don't have the truck yet (late Aug build). Below is a partial scan of the packing list that came with the part.

I think it's a "butt ugly" thing, i.e. they don't want you to order it because it kills the look of the truck.

Ordered one from Canadian Ford Dealer didn't fit and took it back, still looking.
