Is there a way to tell if my NACS adapter was recalled?

I am getting an F-150 from a dealer 5 hours away, so opted to get the official NACS adapter off of eBay. Found out about the recall after purchasing and have a feeling this could be a recalled unit.

Is there a way to check off of serial # or looks if this is the recalled version or the newer version?

There was specific serial number ID that designated the lot.

Found it, and you bet it was from the recalled batch. Time to start a return. Sucks people would do that just to make money. I'm sure seller knows, since they have over 10 of these for sale.

After you return it and get your refund make sure that you post a accurate review stating the the seller sent you a defective recalled adaptor.

I use eBay a lot. Sellers with poor reputations I stay away from As a Seller I make sure I bend over backwards and provide anything that makes the deal right if there is an issue with an item I sell.

Where in the world would somebody get 10 recalled NACs adapters....maybe from wherever we're shipping ours back to?

Is somebody at the warehouse just reselling the stuff we're sending back?

My guess is warehouse where the recalled items were housed before they even shipped out. These are brand new, unopened boxes. Or someone that was supposed to dispose them sold them.

I have the recalled A2Z NACS adapter at home. Post a picture please and I can compare it to the Good and Bad one I have (on Friday).

A2Z didn't ask for them back, they just recommened you bend the communication pins and send them a picture of it so there could be folks selling them.

It is illegal to sell recalled items. However, this wasn't recalled, it was replaced by Ford. Therefore, while unethical, it's not illegal.

I would report the seller to EBay also.
