Lightning is not selling well at my local dealer

In Abilene, few have sold. I suspect range problems are the issue since we are remote.. I love mine but we dont use it for long trips because od charging issues. I suspect nothing will change till that is resolved, and I see no short term real improvement.

Just bought a used (2,000 mile) lariat and the Fargo dealer said there has been no interest in their 20 trucks. But 20 to 30 below temps might have had something to do with it.

Some of the dealers around me have ones on their lot for 395 days based on the delivery date. You can use evfinder.com to see how long they have been on the lots. I used this when shopping for a Lightning last year and it has a lot of good info like color, vin number, dealer, MSRP, model, etc.

Still seems to me like the initial $39,999 Pro Model that became $56k was responsible for killing off a lot of the enthusiasm. I know it later dropped down to $50k. Combine that with dealers pooping in the pool by greedily adding markups, and now interest rates are up.

Then normal people experiencing Electrify America.

HELL YEAH, I’d buy a basic pro at that discount and 0% or even 1.9% 60 month term. Truck month almost here so let’s see what happens but my guess they might only do $2500 rebate plus 1.9% 60 month term.

I see some big discounts coming soon. Hopefully all trims get the 7500 off next round.

Update: They have 39 2023 MY Lightnings in stock now, and 20 new 2024 MY Lightnings are on the way. There ought to be huge sale soon as it is already 2024 February.
