Location updating every hour since upgrade to FordPass 5.0

Since the update to FordPass 5.0 a few weeks ago the location of the truck is not near real-time anymore. It is more like every hour or at ignition off.
Has anybody had the same issue since the update?

I haven’t noticed since I don’t look at the location very often, but the new app is noticeably slower to load for me.

I think location reporting is intended to occur during key cycle on/off.

It’s been like this for over a year. It only shows location at key on/off. We have a 2021 MME and I can’t see real time.

the ford pass employee from other group said it was an ignition off feature.

did not think ford would bring back real time reporting,

probably saves money.

Why would you want to know the position of you vehicle other than when it is turned off? (Unless, you want to track your husband/wife/kids - but that is not what this is designed to do).
